ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

backorder hell continues :(

As of 8:50 am EST I am still on f***in backorder:mad:

I ordered on 9/14, processed on the 16th and still no movement or progress or anything. 32gb Black. I guess I should just accept that I will never get my iPhone and AT&T hates having me as a customer.

Gosh, that really sucks!!! Have you attempted a cancel? Sounds like finding a local one is definitely becoming a better option. That is ridiculous! Talk about AT&T dropping the ball...

No, I am not going to try and cancel because AT&T is incompetent and would likely still send me the phone anyway, and then charge me lol. I have read lots of posts of here about people who cancelled and were still shipped the phone so at this point it's probably useless. I actually did try going to my local AT&T and Best Buy and both were of course sold out. The closest Apple store is about an hour away...but they sold out of their shipment this week before they even got the shipment. At this point I feel like It's useless. I have avoided calling AT&T but if I see nothing by tonight I definitely will be.
 
32 white, ordered 9/16, just came off BO sometime last night. No shipping info yet. 1612 group, hope you're seeing some movement.

I ordered on the 15th, Got off BO yesterday morning, got tracking sometime last night. Shipped 2nd day air from Memphis! Getting it tuesday:/ I wish it would have shipped from fort worth, I would have had it today.. Its literally a one hour flight to where I live. Anyway! I hope you all get your phones soon, you will love it!

How long was it until you get your shipping info after off BO? Since mine was out from BO around 3.30 pm EST yesterday, and no shipping info yet.
 
Lol I called in to cancel preorder. Get a text at 4am yesterday that it shipped. Arrive home to a FedEx box with iPhone 5.

Fast shipping for being a week late.
 
Off BO yesterday, still no shipping

-Ordered 9/14 @ 6PM EST
-Came off backorder yesterday afternoon
-Still hasn't shipped
-Based on last weekend's off-backorder posts on this thread, expecting to have it on Wednesday
-Waited in line for Apple Store to open this morning (Towson MD store grand reopening) all they had was 16GB White
-Got a free "Apple Towson Town Center" tee shirt
-Used it to wipe the tears from my eyes
-Still waiting for my preorder
 
9/14 - Order placed & accepted T&C.
9/17 - Received order confirmation.
9/26 - Off back order.
9/27 - Received shipping information.
9/28 - Received phone.

Black 16gb AT&T.

right there with you 9/15 order 32gb Black went off BO yesterday, still no shipping info... i guess my guy unloading the truck went on break, till Monday.... FYI today is day 14 of the 14-21 days for delivery, so technically, I cant be PO'd till next Sat... I just hate seeing people who ordered after me getting delivery, maybe jealous would be a better word :rolleyes:

Yep, this is true. I feel bad for everyone who preordered on 9/14 from AT&T and still doesn't have a phone. It seems like I'm always the person who's order gets delayed every time I've anticipated a hot new item like this. I guess karma has finally balanced out.
 
I ordered on 9/20 but didn't get processed until the 21st. 16gb White, order group #1711. Anyone else in this group? I know I shouldn't be complaining, cause some of you 9/14ers haven't gotten their phones yet, which is utterly ridiculous. I honestly hope you get all yours before I get mine. But I am also hoping that mine comes earlier than the 14-21 days they quoted me... and definitely not later than that. Even though I "pre-ordered" my order got put through on launch day so I'm hoping that I am still technically a preorder and not a buyer. I noticed that the wait after the 21st had switched to 21-28 days so they better not have shoved me into that category. I know I will probably be one of the last of the preorders to get my phone but I am still constantly checking my order status... still says BO... :(

9/14 Ordered at 12pm and received the confirmation immediately.
9/17 Order processed
9/19 Received email saying that my order will be shipped in 14 to 21 days
No further update. Fingers crossed.

As usual, another poor service from AT&T
 
Just picked up yesterday's mail.... I got them... my iPhone 5 cases , i ordered 2

So here I sit, holding an empty case , I can now feel how the phone will feel in my hand... Now if only i had a device to put in the case :(

Maybe I'll check to see if I have shipping info, cause it went of BO yesterday... nah, I did just check 10 minutes ago, but wait, maybe it changed and I don't check for another hour, how would I know :eek:
 
I am so disgusted with at&t

Just got off the phone with AT&T. The guy who could barely speak english told me that there was apparently there was a "problem" with my order...some kind of IMEI and SIM not matching up or some BS so he put me on hold...could barely understand what the ******* he was saying. About 5 minutes later he said he went ahead and processed it and if I don't get shipping info within the next 24 hours to call back. Then I asked if I would get my phone next week and he said "probably not"...WTF? So, I'm going to get shipping info but not get the phone next week?? How does that even make sense?! Whatever. Then I basically bitched them out and told them they obviously weren't doing this "first come, first serve" and I didn't understand why people were able to order on the 20th and already have their phones. So now lets see if anything happens today or tomorrow. I am so disgusted with this whole experience. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but they do not deserve it and I have never had such a horrible experience with a company. If there was a "problem" with my order, why not call or email? Which carriers can I port my number to because I am seriously considering leaving. I get a military discount with them but you know what they can take it and shove it up their a** - I don't even care anymore. :mad:
 
Wohoooo! Finally mine is shipped!! Went out from BO yesterday at 3.30 pm, checked the status just now and got Fedex tracking number! Will arrive on Monday! :)

Keep checking! People who got out of BO yesterday, will most probably get their tracking number today

Every morning I wake up and think, "Surely today will be the day my order comes off backorder!" and then I go to be disappointed every night. I'm with newmacgirl, this is the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a company.
 
is it me , or are the "Passphrases" starting to repeat... seems like I tried that last one once before back a week or two .... oh well, let see what exciting Passphrase is waiting for me next time ....
