ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

They're suppose to charge it when your phone ships. They have been not charging or charging a few days after its received. The only snafu that benefits the customer, not being charged on time!
I've been hoping and suspecting that since Saturday. But it never happened. Someone here just mentioned that maybe AT&T is waiting for the next shipment to arrive by tonight, so I am hopeful thats when it'll be our turn.
Plus, no one (I think) mentioned they came off BO today...
haven't seen anyone come off BO yet, but I did notice that the Order Status site is undergoing maintenance right now, so they may be updating something? (I know i'm reaching, but it's keeping me moderately sane)
Hopefully! I pre-ordered on the 16th, processed on the 16th and still on backorder for 16gb white. This is honestly so frustrating. We pre-ordered for a reason...
Pending $1 charge when you place the order.
Pending charge for the full amount once it is processed.
Actual charge for the full amount once it ships.
I hope so, gotta get those white 16gb's moving along.....

You must be joking. Or trying to rile everyone up. If you've been reading this thread you know that many people who ordered on the 15th-17th still haven't gotten their phones.
Since my order (9/16), I've never seen any charges (not even pending or for authorization) on my account. Dont know what that means...
I was actually charged right away, even though they told me they wouldn't charge until it ships. Damn AT&T, take my money but don't give me my phone.
I ordered on the 19th, and I saw a pending charge on my card then. I checked today and there are NO pending charges on my account.
CC activity is odd though, I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Anybody else order on the 14th and still waiting? I ordered over the phone on the 14th. This has been the absolute worst by far of any purchase I have ever made. The amount of lies that I have been told by ATT is unbelievable. After today I am done calling as I just cant handle the misinformed as they say. Apparently my order got misplaced and wasnt put through until the 18th even though I sat on the phone for over 2 hours on the 14th and confirmed my order? So bottom line is, since I am still on back order, that it is like I didn't place the order until the 18th. When I have asked what they can do to help because of "their" mistake it is always the same response which is "nothing". I can't even cancel my order because the T&C have been accepted. I actually had the CR tell me on the phone today that if I am the type of person that gets this angry over a phone that it is my problem. Really!!! At this point you really think it is over a phone? We are way beyond the point of a phone. This is proper business and customer service which I fear is a thing of the past.
Thanks to who ever started this forum. It has been an excellent source of info and a great place to vent, lol. Best of luck to all who are still waiting.

That's all I've got. It says delivery by tomorrow afternoon before 3 pm though so I'm not too worried. Also, has anyone had experiences with Mr. FedEx man coming early in the morning? I know my UPS guy is always late as hell, not sure about FedEx though, just guessing it depends on the location....

I've been following and occasionally posting on here since 9/22 and I wanted to update everyone.
-Ordered 32GB Black on 9/14
-Went off back order last Friday (9/28)
-Received shipping confirmation Saturday (9/29)
-Actually shipping today and delivery scheduled for Wednesday
-I'm pretty irked that it was shipped 2nd day air when most people I've seen on here have reported next day...

I'm pretty irked that yours shipped out like normal. I've been off back order for 2 days and still not a fkn thing of it being shipped.
To quote a CSR: "Well your's isn't the only one we messed up!"
Seriously though. You're not alone. AT&T pushed a lot of orders back from the order date. Isn't the customer service amazing?

Same with me... All day without "real" tracking data, then this afternoon I finally get data on the UPS tracking site, that says Wednesday...
oh well.... I'll wait.... 2 more days

I say date processed because AT&T messed up. I ordered on 9/14 but my Order Date shows as 9/19.
