ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

I was told by AT&T that they overnight every phone. My wife's 16white was overnighted with FedEx, my 32 blk was shipped 2 day air on fri. Should have it tomorrow by the end of the day.

Next time I will be waiting in line and cutting out all of the hassle

If you didn't even get the $1 pending then something could have gone wrong that the order didn't go through at all.

CC activity is odd though, I wouldn't worry too much about that.

As long as you got the pending for the full amount, then it is waiting to ship. The pending charge falls off in between 3-5 days, and the actual charge will show up when it ships.

The date shown on the page with the Backordered is the date it was processed. I ordered 9/21 and it was processed 9/22 which is what is on that Backordered page.

I ordered 9/27 9:59pm pst and my ordered date shows 9/28. I don't know if at&t based their time est or pst. Do you think it was processed? I really hope so.
 
So how long after back order goes to 0 is the average time to get to shipped and shipping info. Because I've been off back order for 50 hours and starting to get worried. This is so frustrating. My buddy walked into an apple store today and bought his phone and now breaking my stones that I wasted my time pre ordering. It took every ounce of restraint to not knock his teeth out lol.

Oh ok. I get it now. I ordered 9/27 9:59pm pst and the ordered date on the backordered page was 9/28. So I guess it was processed. Thank you for explaining it to me. :)
 
I just wish they would start shifting production to the 16s and 32s that are over two weeks backordered for some, instead of keep making the 64s that seem to be shipping in around three days.
 
I've been reading this thread searching for some sort of ray of hope... trying to make sense of this craziness!

My bf preordered at 8am on the 14th and his order date on the website says 9/25... wtf?! And he has called CS several times--still no luck--quoted 14-21 days. I'm mad for him! Anyone else have a similar issue? I'm guessing that means the order will get lumped with those who ordered around the 25th and not treated as a preorder?

Man, that would piss me off!

And I will be outta this thread tomorrow when mine arrives....

Again, I pre-ordered early AM on the 15th, didn't process till the 17th. Got off of backorder Sat afternoon, sat night I had a tracking #. Sunday saw movement on the UPS site. Departed from Louisville, KY around 3:30 today, and will be at my door in Pensacola, FL tomorrow!

I know it sucks reading about others getting theirs, but it also creates a small sliver of hope for those waiting....

Makes no god damn sense. I came off back order exact same time.

Delivery

The last iPhone 5 arrived today. Ordered two 64 GB Blacks late afternoon on the 14th from AT&T Online. First one arrived Thursday the 27th, second one arrived today.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, but the serial number for my iphone has the F word smack in the middle of the character string!!!
 
Finally ups shows the right info.

Will be here by the end of the day wed.

Departed tx airport today.

Has anyone card not yet been charge since shipped?
 
I ordered a white 32GB on 9/20...

And tracking says I'll get it tomorrow. Not bad at all.

This is really bad! I am on BO. I dont have any charges on my account. CCR dont tell me anything. No one answers the AT&T store phone. I am doomed!!!
 
Like many of you, I'm waiting to be removed from back-order and probably have quite a wait until that happens. I didn't order until the 20th so there are quite a few of you in front of me.

My question is though...even though there are so many that are waiting for their pre-orders yet, are there still random phones being shipped to AT&T stores on a daily/weekly basis? Or will the stores not receive any until the back-orders are filled?

I'm curious if I would increase my chance of getting a phone sooner if I start driving the folks at my local store crazy by calling or stopping by on a daily basis. Since they're not the most helpful of people, it might be kind of fun. :)

I call three local stores by me everyday. No iPhone 5's in stock. One claimed on Saturday that they haven't received any since their original batch.
