Wow it seems this thread is getting slower, but I don't think it is cause we got our phones. I think we are all getting tired of talking about it with no movement what so ever, and we are tired of checking the status page just to say the same crap.
 
AT&T has to do better, this is ridiculous!:mad:

The problem is, without looking in AT&T's warehouse, we can't tell if they are out of stock, or if they are just failing to move stock. If they are out of stock, then either Apple needs to get a move on, or someone at AT&T is failing to order properly.
 
I placed an order via AT&T Premier Website today. Ordered a 64 Gb in White. I have already received a Shipping Confirmation email from AT&T. FedEx Tracking says it is leaving the AT&T Fort Worth Tx warehouse today and is schedule for delivery on Monday.

I ordered 3 units on the release weekend and they took 2 weeks to arrive. Just got them this week. I ordered a Black 64 Gb two or three days ago and have not yet received a shipping notice on that order. So maybe it is the White 64 Gb that are in stock for immediate shipping.
 
Who know if we ever gonna get our phones now. Foxconn workers reportedly went on strike because of stricter quality control demands from Foxconn, dammit! lol

did you happen to order any 32GB Black? trying to see the wait time for that and see if i should just wait to get one in store.. Also do they not charge you till it ships?
 
Got sick of waiting, so I cancelled. To AT&T's credit, my account was eligible for upgrade again within a few minutes of canceling my order. Their pre-order system completely blows though.

I reserved one through Apple's system last night, picking it up later. Good luck to the rest of you still waiting.

Yeah.....but it's nice to have a "support group" lol! I like seeing what's happening with the people who ordered the same time I did. There are 64s in stock in every store around me (Allentown, PA) and I'm about ready to just say screw it and grab one
The lady at the AT&T store told me her son was quoted 14 days and had it in 8. Gave me hope.......

The original 3 that I ordered on release weekend were 32 Gb. Those are the ones that came in 2 weeks. The next order was the 2 64 Gb that I ordered this week. The Black one has not been updated. But the White one is the one that says it shipped the same day the order was placed. Guess I will find out if it is true on Monday when the package arrives.

I did order a USB Car Charger on the same order. So it may be that just the car charger shipped today. But, I also ordered Car Chargers with the other 3 iPhones. They held the chargers and shipped them at the same time, and in the same box as, the iPhone 5's. Assume that they would do the same for this order. I will come back and post one way or the other on Monday.

As for the charging before it ships. Mine is a business account and all hardware upgrades are added on to our corporate account. But I can tell you that it sometimes take extra billing cycles before the charges show up. Most likely due to shipping dates being close to the billing date, or something similar. So that makes it seem like they do not charge until it ships.
 
Well, this is a dandy. iPhone 5 production halted. Not to say I don't feel for the workers.

China Labor Watch

October 5, 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(New York) China Labor Watch (CLW) announced that at 1:00PM on October 5 (Beijing time), a strike occurred at Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory that, according to workers, involved three to four thousand production workers. In addition to demanding that workers work during the holiday, Foxconn raised overly strict demands on product quality without providing worker training for the corresponding skills. This led to workers turning out products that did not meet standards and ultimately put a tremendous amount of pressure on workers. Additionally, quality control inspectors fell into to conflicts with workers and were beat up multiple times by workers. Factory management turned a deaf ear to complaints about these conflicts and took no corrective measures. The result of both of these circumstances was a widespread work stoppage on the factory floor among workers and inspectors.

The majority of workers who participated in this strike were workers from the OQC (onsite quality control) line. According to workers, multiple iPhone 5 production lines from various factory buildings were in a state of paralysis for the entire day. It was reported that factory management and Apple, despite design defects, raised strict quality demands on workers, including indentations standards of 0.02mm and demands related to scratches on frames and back covers. With such demands, employees could not even turn out iPhones that met the standard. This led to a tremendous amount of pressure on workers. On top of this, they were not permitted to have a vacation during the holiday. This combination of factors led to the strike.

That quality control inspectors would also strike is of no surprise. According to workers, there was a fight between workers and quality control inspectors in area K that led to the damage in inspection room CA, the injury of some people, and the hospitalization of others. After this, another similar incident occurred in area K, once again leading to quality control inspectors getting beat up. Yesterday, inspectors in area L received physical threats. When inspectors reported these issues to factory management, the management simply ignored and turned their back on the issue. For these reasons, all day and night shift inspectors carried out a work stoppage today that paralyzed the production lines.

I meant "processing". I actually placed the order early in the morning on 09/14. I even set my alarm clock to wake up very early. A couple days later on 09/16 I got an email saying to call Premier to avoid further delays with my order. Nobody could tell me why my order still needed attention. They verified my info and said my order was submitted. To make a long story short, I actually had to keep calling several times for several days before my order actually was submitted on 09/19. Every time I called I was assured that my oder would show that it was placed on 09/14 and everytime they verified my info it was always correct. I have a bad attitude about this. I got the upgrade fees waived and $55 credit but I'd rather just get my order. Again.. Bad attitude! Ha!
 
i feel like this :eek: i ordered on 9/22 in store two white 16gb and im still back ordered and now the workers of foxconn are on a strike i feel really bad for them though....

Yes we are doomed...Is it just me or does it seem like ATT's inventory has dwindled and they are waiting for another wave. This just me speculating based on the posts I have seen over the past week.
 
Should we ask ATT if this Foxconn scandal will affect our orders? They probably have no idea but worth a shot.
 
Hasn't this happened already? I could swear there was a riot or something recently that halted production.

Maybe Santa will be bringing my phone this year :rolleyes:

Yea I just checked two Allentown stores Wednesday, and all they had were 64s. Too bad I didn't have the extra $200. :(
