ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

I ordered mine on 9/21 around 2 pm Central Time
Expected Ship Date was 10/19

My card was finally charged yesterday and now my status says that order is sent for processing. No tracking information yet though! Hopefully Soon! :D
 
Been keeping on eye on this thread for awhile, figured I'd finally chime in.

Ordered a 16GB iphone on 9/21, still on BO, have a friend who ordered his 9/20, same type he's still on BO too.

Also someone yesterday ordered Oct 1 a white 16g and he got shipping info. Please ask your friend at apple how that works. I really don't think there is any rhyme or reason to the process.

I agree with you, it's unbelievable you haven't gotten shipment, I told you yesterday though they were doing it by region :rolleyes: and you just told me to go away haha

I was folowing up on the ATT forum but now I found this much more action... .

For reasons beyong me. Its been a nightmare but I ordered my phones on the 14th. One order date is 18th. One had to be re processed. (Dont ask) ordered on the 18th and ATT posted on the 20th.

Keep it simple. Website shows 18th and 20th. 16 GB White.

No movment as of now still on BO. Any 16GB white activity?

Some questions as this is a long thread.
I have waisted tons of time with att CS.
1. I was told that if you order through the phone not online its imposable to cancel.
2. If i do get the 16GB white and I do not open teh box anyway I can swap for a 32GB pay teh difference?
3. Any other encouragment will be great. ATT gave me HUGE credits but I still want my phones!!!

There was plenty of movement on 9/18 16gb (both black and white) phones last night, i'm hoping they continue through today.

Wow sorry you had to go through all of that. I ordered the morning of the 18th a 16g white and it came of back order last night and shipped this morning.

I was told by a CSR that it was impossible for me to cancel since I ordered online and not on the phone....wow I was also told I wouldn't be able to receive any types of credits because I ordered online.

Hoping you see some movement soon

If you ordered online there was a special number to call and they could of cancelled it. att.com orders. Its mute now for me to help sorry :). People ordering on the phone were the ones who couldnt cancel.

I didnt order online and an att rep did make a mistake. But I recieved so many credits from like 4-5 people that they added up to more than my 2 iphones orders. ATT paid me to upgrade!! They deserve it BTW.

You can get credits but its hard. If your phone was shipped and you did the order your in a too late situation I believe.

Update, phones arrived today. Ordered two white. One 16 and one 32. Received a black 16 and white 32. Just spoke with AT&T. Since I got really lucky on shipping times, we're just going to keep them and not worry about it. Not a huge deal. Good luck to everybody else.

Good for you!!! lol They deserve every penny of it. I spoke with a rep a few days ago who told me all this on chat. I like to chat vs call so I can have it all in writing. No worries now since it is on its way but still disappointed with the their service. Good luck to you!
 
black 32gb ordered 9/25 still on BO. switching between this forum and order status page every hour, I've officially become dilusional
 
AT&T Web orders seem like a lost cause. I think they've been on orders processed on the 18th for a week or two. :mad: 10PM apple.com or scouring all possible retailers selling iP5 seems the way to go anymore.
 
I wish there was a separate thread for people who ordered after the first week, still waiting here for 16GB white, ATT Premier 9/14.

I don't see how that could be right... going through one order day per week?? Unless there is a SERIOUS shortage on white 16gb, which therefore they would have some splainin' to do and would need to give everyone a new estimated shipping time. If it worked according to this schedule, it would not be a 14-21 business day wait... not by any means! So if they were only doing the 18th orders this week, and next week the 19th, and so on... that would mean my order processed on the 21st would be shipped until week of 10/29-11/5. AND then, say someone who ordered on the 25th wouldn't get theirs for another month? They are telling everyone that it is 14-21 business days from the date their order was processed, putting me at shipping dates of 10/11-10/22... and that is what the rep told me... he said NO later than the 22nd... so, if they are wrong, and the white 16gb's got pushed back like you're saying, they need to inform us of that. And if I don't get my phone by the 22nd without any email or explanation, I will be complaining to them.

Yes, can someone start a separate thread for the white 16gb's? There are a lot of us, and we are in quite a different predicament than the rest.
 
My phone was shipped this morning. 16gb black ordered on 09/19. The white one ordered at the same time is still on backorder. I'm not bragging. I just wanted to give everybody this info.

So after I called AT&T and complained. My account got credited and my phone was shipped the next day. That was last Tuesday Oct. 2nd. Well, I have been tracking my phone for a week now. It has left Dallas/Fort Worth Airport 4 times and has returned back to DFW 4 times. UPS is horrible. I use to work there so I called. It should be here tomorrow. Unbelievable! Lol. I wouldn't be anxious to get my phone except for the fact that my old iPhone is broken and I am loosing business because of it! It's always something.

Sorry, just wanted to rant a bit.

BTW ... I would suggest that everyone call att and explain that people who have ordered the same phone at a later date have already recieved their phones. Give them a pleasent wrath of ***** for a little bit, and they will hook you up with at least a nice sized credit. It is the least they can do at this point, and I suggest everyone take advantage.

How did you receive credits? I've been waiting forever for my white 16GB #
 
An unlocked iPhone is definitely worth the money if you want freedom without a network tying you down!
