I just replied to you in the ATT forum. Like i said there, it looks like alot more 16 gb black models are coming off vs. the white models. hang in there it should be soon.

It went from backordered 1 to backordered 0, I'm not sure what else has happened- I haven't gotten any emails or anything... Bummer:-/
White 16GB placed order over the phone with AT&T 9/14 at 2:00 pm order date per AT&T 9/19.........STILL ON BACKORDER!!!!!!!
I ordered a black 16gb on the 19th and still showing BO... I hope I didn't miss the latest batch :/
I've called & I went in the store! I get the run around, they even told me the SIM cards were on backorder. I tried to cancel....TWICE!!! I'm at the point now where all I can do is just be mad, wait it out & keep reading this forum knowing that I'm not alone #
Ordered my i5 on 9/18/12 @ 4pm at my local AT&T store in connecticut. Processed 9/18/12 I'm still processing on backorder. From my sources, my friend at apple said they are shipping i5 16gb white or black by week. So to say you ordered 9/17/12, this is your week for shipment. 9/18/12 is ready for shipment next week and so on and so on for the next preorder week. Another thing my friend told me was that if you lived closer to California, your chances of getting your i5 16,32, & 64gb preorder on whatever date you will be getting it first. For that reason, I don't know why but is unfair. But that's what my friend said who works for apples headquarters in California. I'll keep posting info on my order if anything changes, but mean time I can patiently wait for the i5. The i4 is still treating me great and I already lost the excitement in owning the new i5.
White 64 ordered from the apple store on the 14th, 6:30pm. Shipped from Korea on the 4th, arrived in Anchorage on the 5th at noon and departed Anchorage on the 5th at 2:21pm. Since then, nothing! Was there a problem with the flight between Anchorage and (I think) Louisville? It's driving me nuts...
