ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Went off backorder 10/9 around 4pm PST
Got tracking order/ship notice 10/9 around 10pm PST

Tracking number (UPS) was provided on the order status page, but I have yet to receive an email from AT&T saying my phone has shipped and from what I read, I should?

The UPS tracking number does not register in their system and still says it cannot be found nearly 12 hours later. Not sure why, but hopefully I get my phone in the next couple days. I hope this gives some hope to those who ordered on 9/18.

From what I've been reading, it seems that AT&T emails do not arrive at the same time the website updates. Since you received tracking info last night, I'd imagine you'd have to wait until at least later tonight before you see anything on UPS site. Pretty sure you will see your phone very soon. Good luck!

The AT&T warehouse in Texas probably has black 64GBs in stock, so if you cancel your order and order one of those, you'll most likely get it in like around 5 days or less depending on how long it takes for the order to process.

From what I've been seeing, it seems that if you order a 64gb, it'll ship within 2 days or you'll even be able to purchase it right there on the spot (if you are in store). From a time perspective, I think that's the best way to get a phone fast other than maybe doing the Apple reservation system at 10pm if you still want a smaller size. I'm on a business account so I couldn't even attempt to go that route if I wanted to.

If you check the order status, do you have a 1 or 0 under items shipped? I got the AT&T email right when that figure changed to 1, meaning they actually handed the phone off to UPS. Until that happens, AT&T still has your phone, with a shipping label.

Went into our local AT&T store yesterday (10-9) around 1:00PM and paid for a new black 64GB. Checked the order status around 11:00PM last night (10-9) and it shows shipped same day with a UPS 2nd day tracking number.

I've been checking the tracking number all morning and all it shows is this:

I don't see any movement and I hope it arrives before the weekend. :)

Mine didn't do much movement yesterday either when I first received the UPS info. I went from Fort Worth to Dallas/FW Airport and didn't leave there til this morning. Now it is in KY

My Black 64GB that I purchased yesterday shipped out that same day.:)

I'm pretty sure AT&T has plenty of 64GB in stock but that's just what I think.:confused:

32GB whites don't seem to be taking so long, but there are like 2 other posters on here that were one BO on 32GB blacks. I ordered on 9/28, so this Friday will be 2 weeks since I've ordered (not business days though). We should see some movement this evening though because that's when everything seems to happen and someone on the AT&T community forums posted that their 32GB black from 9/22 went off BO last night.

Well damn, I hope you guys see movement soon. I ordered a 32gb White on 9/29 but AT&T didnt process until 10/5 and I just received UPS tracking info now. So I'd imagine you are very soon.

Hopefully because I'm not much of a patient person when I know the product is out there somewhere :p Crossing my fingers for a miracle tonight.
 
WHT 16 I phone 5 ordered 9/19. Ugh..... Still 1 back ordered. Suppose to arrive between 10/10-10/19. Hmmmmm:(:

I ordered mine 9/14 at 8:0 am but it said my order date was 9/19, was on backorder till last night and it shipped out today and says it will arrive here tomorrow by 3 pm, I can't wait!
 
I just checked my order status again for the zillioneth time, I just don't get it! Ordered a White 16GB on 9/14 at 2:00 pm it processed on 9/19 ......so why is my phone still on backorder? This has to be a conspiracy to drive me CRAZY!!!!! #
 
My 16g black I ordered online on Sept 20 has now shipped and expect it tomorrow Oct 11 by 3pm. :) Best of luck to others still waiting. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve! :p:apple::p
