Order processed 9/20, 16GB black came off BO late Thu early Fri AM. Still no tracking info, pending shipment.

At least it appears like I may get it next week.

seems like most of the shipments that have completed are around 16 business days waiting time, thats about 3 weeks but not nearly the 14-21 waiting time it says on At&t's website.
I am patiently waiting, as it looks now my order on 10/1 should be coming around in about a week 1/2's time.
I don't understand why some people are giving up when they are almost due for shipment.
In my case I had to wait till the 1st of Oct to place my order because my real full eligibity date is Nov 13 but I got it waved by a CSR.
Hopefully Apple should get more i5's out to At&t soon so the 2-3 week wait period can get smaller.

I hope you're right. Monday will be the 16th business day for me, even though AT&T quoted me 21-28 business days.

White 16GB ordered 9/22 over the phone.

How did you get AT&T to wave the upgrade date?

How did you get AT&T to wave the upgrade date?

This was a tip given by one of the CSR's on the phone with At&t, the woman told me it is possible to wave 45 days before my eligibilty. They would have to get a manager to over ride it for them and thats it. At&t is willing to waive only 45 days though because I was dying to place an order before October and I had to wait to the 1st week of October since that placed me withing the 45 days before my due upgrades. since I was eligible on 11/13 and my wife on 11/15 she had to wait another day before ordering her iphone 5 because October technically has 31 days in it. During my order the CSR talked to the manager and they ok'ed it no problem, and they said our other account on 11/15 will be able to get waived also. So when my wife calls up to order her 16gb white iphone 5 the CSR she had was very rude and told her At&T can only waive up to 30 days (which is total BS) but I got on the phone and complained and said you have no idea what youre talking about and hung up and that I will talk to another CSR who would be helpful. 5 minutes later her manager called us back saying sorry about the CSR's mistake and then she said she already has over rided the 2nd i5. Like I said before some At&t customer service people have no knowlege of anything and are plain rude and some are very helpful and will go out of their way to save you some money. Just give them a call though, I usually get great service over the phone, I had no problems getting a carrier unlock a few months back on our 4S and iphone 4 even when both phones were still on contract.

btw.. they end up telling me I had to order by phone if I wanted the 45 days waived and I thats my only option to get the i5 right now because they can't change the eligiblity on the retail stores computers. Since I am not technically eligible till 11/13 I can't go into a store and pickup an iphone 5 yet  and I found serveral stores who stocked a few here and there. Ive already waited 10 days I can wait another few more weeks, but if I don't get both phones by my eligiblity date something is seriously screwed with their ordering system and I will be raisin hell with them. lol

Call and complain! Make up a story and say your current iphone screen is cracked and you can't wait any longer like I did lol! Mine was up for upgrade in may and they did it no problem. Many will use excuses about Apple not allowing them to which is the biggest piece of bulls**t ever! Apple has nothing to do with what AT&T Allows us to do with our contracts. Only down part about doing this is you can't just go to any store that has stock in because they have to place your order over the phone which again I think is BS! I mean why can't they just change your eligibility so it shows in everyone's system. This backorder mess is worse than I've ever seen from AT&T with these iPhone 5

Ordered 16gb Black iPhone 5 on 10/5/12 from Verizon. Still shows Order Status: We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date: 10/26/2012...

10/04 - Pending Shipment
10/13 - iPhone came out of BO, this day was not a business day so hopefully it ships tomorrow monday 10/15.:apple:

I ordered a 16GB Black on the same date. I am on back order still. I ordered in-store and told it would be shipped in 2-3 weeks. The guy didn't specify business days though. Are you still on back order? Where/how did you order, and which model did you get. Let us know your turnout!

Ordered a white 32GB on October 7th (last Sunday), came off backorder on October 12th (Friday). No email yet, but I'm expecting it to ship tomorrow (Monday) :D

So it looks like ordering a white 32GB only takes about 4-5 business days to come off backorder (for anyone that's debating on whether the wait is too long) :)

What???? NO way..

Same here. I had a 5 on release day, had horrible issues, and had to return bc there's none in stock here in Columbus area. So now I reordered from ATT, and it will be early/mid November until I get my new one :(

So I ordered 10/11...and it said 14-21 business days. Business days meaning M-F correct?
