So I got a tracking number for my black 16 gb that was ordered 20th, processed 21st. My white 16 gb ordered and processed at same times is still backordered :confused: Has anyone gotten off backorder or gotten shipping details for a white 16 gb processed on either 20th or 21st yet?
 
Finally got the tracking no. And delivery date. My phone is arriving tomorrow after 17 business days of waiting. Ordered 16 blk on 9/21. Good luck to all waiting.
 
So excited! Looks like the 21st order dates are getting movement. Now just need to see 22nd order dates get off b/o, then I'll be next! Pushing for Thursday or Friday!!

I've been reading this thread basically since I ordered my phone. My 4s was stolen on the 16th, I ordered the white 16 GB 5 on the 18th of September. Order was processed on the 20th. The rep told me that it wouldn't take more than 7-10 days to ship even though the confirmation email said 14-21 days.

So here we are on the 15th of October, and my phone is still on backorder, with no shipping information or anything. I've been without a phone for almost a month. I'm a college student and you don't even know how irritating and even dangerous it is to be walking around campus without a phone. It's absolutely ridiculous. I would have bought a temporary phone had I known that it was going to take this long. The best part is that we were charged an upgrade fee even though my upgrade date is October 25th. It's just fantastic.

Anyway, my mom called AT&T on Saturday and they said my phone has shipped and was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday (10/16). The problem is, the website and the 1-877-782-8870 number still say that my phone is on backorder and is pending shipment. Has anyone else had this problem? I honestly wouldn't doubt that the rep lied again, but I really hope that it gets here tomorrow. I can't go much longer without a phone.

There have been a couple of people who have mentioned that their order status didn't changed from "processing/pending shipment" until the phone was actually delivered to the door step! So just keep a lookout.
 
Ordered 16 GB black on 9/21. Came off back order on Saturday 10/13. Don't have tracking number yet. But seeing other 9/21 orders getting shipped. So hopefully I'll get my number soon. Its been a long wait. And I ordered from AT&T online
 
Ah!! seeing all these 9.20/9.21 orders moving is awesome! come on 9.22's!!

ordered wht 16gb, 9.21 via phone around 7:30pm, processed 9.22 around 6am. hoping for BO 0 tonight or tomorrow and delivery before Friday!
 
Today I decided to cancel my order. I called AT&T and they wont let me cancel because I accepted the terms and conditions when I placed the order (which they said to do ASAP, or it wont ship). I talked to 5 different CS people.

I can't believe I can't cancel even when its in Backorder!! :mad:

Try calling 1 (888) 444-4410 instead to cancel your order. I've canceled mine and my friends because we decided to get our phones at the Apple Store. Explain to them that the order is still on backorder and that it won't ship any time soon. If your upgrade isn't back within 10 minutes, call 611 and tell them to reinstate your upgrade.
 
I read in here that a lot of people are saying their orders "processed". What does that mean? Whenever I check my order status it says "processing" and "pending shipment". I ordered on 10/01/12 at an AT&T store and "pending shipment" showed up two to three days later.
 
I ordered a 16 GB black iphone 5 on 9/21 at 11:30 and it was processed the same day. it came off back order on Saturday
 
Ok guys,

Here's my current situation:

Ordered 16g WHT iPhone on Sept. 20th (before noon)

Called AT&T Premier CS today. They told me that the initial 14-21 Business day wait has been extended to 21-28 business days. Initially, my delivery window was scheduled for Oct.10th-19th. Now, they are telling me Oct. 19th - 30th.

I asked to speak to the resolutions team. I explained how it was misleading to tell me 14-21 and then change it to 21-28. They told me that certain color/capacity (I'm assuming 16gig WHT) is in higher demand and they had to push back delivery dates as a results. I told them this was unacceptable and all she could do was credit me $25 to my account.

She also suggested I cancel order and try to pickup at an Apple store. Being that I am adding a line and my primary account holder is out of town, this is not an option for me.

I've been watching this thread since I've ordered. Figured I'd give some insight on my personal experiences. Good luck to all you 16g WHT'ers.
