So, an update. After having to cancel the order and considering hitting stores for the phone, I noticed that the $36.00 upgrade fee had not been removed from my account online. I called and get this part, this is the funniest part, I was told that AT&T would not waive the upgrade fee, on an order that I had cancelled yesterday. I would be paying the fee, and not getting the phone. At this point I completely went nuclear and screamed at a supervisor to the point where there was nothing he could do but hang up. I gave myself an hour to calm down and called for the 16th time since placing my order and immediately asked to speak to my 4th supervisor. He said that of course they would waive the fee (no kidding) and then when I was insisting that they terminate my entire contract and waive the early termination fee as well he said he would do that if I wanted absolutely and asked nicely if he could try to turn things around. He said no matter what, if I re ordered the phone, there would be the same wait as before, 14-21 business days but that things were improving in this respect every day, he in the end got me to re order and waived the new upgrade fee, as well as my last months bill and I now have a zero balance. I paid for the phone with a CREDIT card this time and it will ship when it ships. So, in line with this thread I will give an update
32 gig, black, originally ordered 9/29, processed 9/30, waited 3 weeks until 10/20 and advised by a supervisor to cancel, re ordered 10/21. Let the wait begin (again, *sigh*).
