How do you enter order numbers on the automated phone system when there are letters in the order number??

EDIT: I asked a customer service rep and when you order in-store, you get an order # with letters and that can only be checked at the point-of-sale or via online chat.

My order # starts with EXTP88999 and i can see it online. And on the phone i enter my phone #
 
When you called the automated system, did they not say you were on back order? I ordered 10-01-12 16GB Black also, avd when I call in, the automated system says I'm on back order.

It never said backordered, i called almost everyday:eek: and it has always said that my order has been processed and will ship shortly, on the webpage nothing has changed and still says backorder, so again i'm not getting my hopes up.
 
So, an update. After having to cancel the order and considering hitting stores for the phone, I noticed that the $36.00 upgrade fee had not been removed from my account online. I called and get this part, this is the funniest part, I was told that AT&T would not waive the upgrade fee, on an order that I had cancelled yesterday. I would be paying the fee, and not getting the phone. At this point I completely went nuclear and screamed at a supervisor to the point where there was nothing he could do but hang up. I gave myself an hour to calm down and called for the 16th time since placing my order and immediately asked to speak to my 4th supervisor. He said that of course they would waive the fee (no kidding) and then when I was insisting that they terminate my entire contract and waive the early termination fee as well he said he would do that if I wanted absolutely and asked nicely if he could try to turn things around. He said no matter what, if I re ordered the phone, there would be the same wait as before, 14-21 business days but that things were improving in this respect every day, he in the end got me to re order and waived the new upgrade fee, as well as my last months bill and I now have a zero balance. I paid for the phone with a CREDIT card this time and it will ship when it ships. So, in line with this thread I will give an update

32 gig, black, originally ordered 9/29, processed 9/30, waited 3 weeks until 10/20 and advised by a supervisor to cancel, re ordered 10/21. Let the wait begin (again, *sigh*).


I'm not completely sure what kind of stupid people you've been talking to, but I've ordered my phones and paid for them with a debit card every time I've ordered and never had a problem. You're getting bad information.

Alright my phone is in Louisville, my city, and is set to be delivered tomorrow by the end of the day.

My CC has finally been charged.

Checked last night around 1AM and my status went from BO 1 to BO 0.

Checked again this morning and I have Tracking information due to arrive in ~2 days.

2 Black 16GB i5 Purchase date: 9/27
Off of BO: 10/21
Shipping date: 10/22

Ughhhh mine are still on BO and now people that ordered after me are getting theirs. So annoyed right now. What is the method to AT&T shipping :mad:
 
I came off BO yesterday for a 9/26 order of 1 16gb white & 1 16gb black..

Still no tracking info..
My wife went onto the at&t site and did the chat and they said it is still processing and not off BO (yes the 1 is gone under the BO column and its been replaced by a 0)

They are saying now it should be shipped by 9/30 even tho we were quoted 14-21 business days making shipping times 10/15-10/26..


grrr....
 
Ordered a Black 16GB on 9-25 and still no change in status (still processing). Now I'm reading how people who ordered the same phone after that date, are starting to have them delivered. What gives?

14-21. I know I'm still in that window, but I have seen other people who have ordered the 16GB through AT&T on 9-27 and 9-28 start getting their shipping dates.

This will be my first ithing, and my blackberry is on it's last legs. All I can say is, this phone better be worth the wait!!!

LOL I was about to panic when I thought you had ordered it on 9/21 and still hadn't received it. I'm still hoping my 32GB black will ship this week. I ordered on 10/1 through AT&T.
