So we're essentially getting penalized for ordering through a different (yet still AT&T's) website? When I initially logged in to att.com to order, I didn't intend on ordering through premier, it took me there by default. It seems pretty unfair to me.

From the looks of it, we are. I talked to multiple reps and from what they told me, their system was down for most of the day. The were able to receive our orders but weren't able to fully get it into the system until the next day. I tried going to the normal ATT site but was forced to order through the premier site. I would have chosen Apple but by the time I ordered it was already 2-3 weeks back ordered. I'm hoping they are wrong and that my order ships by 9/21, but I'm not holding my breath...
 
its crazy how badly ATT is handling this whole pre-order thing. no one knows whats going on, peoples credit cards have been charged but their orders say "processing", some peoples orders have been canceled, reps are telling folks the phones will ship on friday... what a mess. you think a company this big would have their records up to date or train their employees correctly. kinda crazy
 
FWIW, my Premier order status page has changed format recently. It used to show the phone price in one column and the wireless service price in another and both were in orange text. Now it looks like this:

I'm starting to think, just maybe, us premier customers have gotten screwed.
 
mine says it was ordered on 9/16 and I ordered at 3pm est on the 14th, so i guess they really are way behind ):

On the subject of Terms & Conditions

When I spoke to a second rep last night, he said that my T&C would go out by email within 72 hours. Of course, I'm reading here that if you ordered online you've already accepted them.

He also gave me the web addy for completing it:

www.wireless.att.com/tc/

When I fill out my info, it tells me that it either can't find the order that requires it or that I may have already agreed and there's no further action necessary.
 
I was able to order my 16BG white iPhone 5 BEFORE 12am PST through the At&T website. I had the countdown screen up, glanced over at 2:48am EST and the login screen was up. I logged in and placed my order quickly and easily. I immediately received two confirmation emails at 2:52am & 2:54am EST.

The first email included a 12-digit order number, beginning with 1711.
The email said:
Your order was placed: 01:52 AM CDT September 14, 2012

Great news – your new iPhone will ship soon!
What happens next:
  • Your order will arrive on 9/21/12
  • We’ll send a confirmation email when it’s ready
  • You can check your order status online anytime
  • You can check your order status online anytime

When I check my order status, it says "processing."

I haven't come across anyone who was able to order before 12am PST. I'd hope that because I was able to order so early and my confirmation email read "Your order will arrive on 9/21/12" that it will, but my debit card has not been charged or even pre-authorized (my husband works at out bank).

I actually was able to place my order before 12 a.m. PST as well. I ordered the 64GB white one. I got an email later at around 7am saying that my credit card didn't go through due to insufficient funds when the cost was no where near the limit so I called Friday afternoon and they tried it again. Sunday afternoon I saw that the card was declined again so I called to try a different card. We were almost done with the process and then my phone died. I'm starting to think I shouldn't get this phone haha. Long story short I tried another card, it went through. I just got a text saying that my order was processed and awaiting shipment. I had a hell of a predicament but the CSRs that I spoke to we're all really helpful. Hopefully we all get it a day early like past preorders have.

Got disconnected on hold...now on hold for another 45 minutes and counting. I want to know why they cancelled my order!!!

Hour on hold, nice guy I spoke to said Premier system takes 24-48 hours for orders to register with the main system, which is why my order placed on the 14th wasn't in the main system till the 15th. He said all I could do was sit and wait till I got an email with shipping info.

Don't worry though, he told me everything was going to be ok.

i must be a moron because i followed all the directions and nothing. tried my phone number, tried my order number, even tried the same thing on fed-ex's website.

all i get is "they cannot find my reference number"
 
I pre-ordered my iPhone 5 16GB from AT&T at 6:45 AM Eastern Time last Friday from AT&T's website. I would've pre-ordered at 3 AM but kept getting a login failure so at 4 AM I went back to bed and ordered when I woke up. When I ordered the ship time showed it would arrive on 9/21 before I ordered and then once my order was complete I received my order number and the order form showed I would receive my iPhone on 9/21.

I thought all was good and well which made me happy since I sold my iPhone 4 through eBay Instant Sale for $235 and had until October 1st to ship it and still receive that quote.

Then things went really bad when I decided to check with AT&T today to see where the status of my order stood so I called in to customer service.

Upon calling in the representative on the phone informed me that I placed my order on 9/15 and I my phone would not ship until Oct. 4 - 15 and then would have to allow 14 - 21 days for my phone to arrive after it was shipped. Obviously this news upset me but I stayed calm and told the person on the phone that I placed my order at 6:45 AM on 9/14 and that the order complete screen showed me I would receive it on 9/21. She then told me this was not the case and stated how I would receive it next month. I asked to speak to a manager so she patched me through. The manager informed me that she saw I did place my order at 6:45 AM on 9/14 but I the reason for the change in the ship date was because I did not respond to a confirmation email from AT&T that I wanted to renew my 2 year contract until 2 PM EDT this past Friday. I then told her I never received such an e-mail from AT&T so there was no way I responded as she said I had and also informed her I never received a confirmation email of my order. She proceeded to tell me that this issue has happened to multiple people who ordered Friday morning where they didn't receive this "confirm your 2 year agreement" email and thus they ship time slipped from the first day (9/21) to next month and that there was nothing she could do regarding this error on AT&T's side.

This has me really frustrated and was wondering if anyone else had this issue? If so have you found out how to resolve this as this is not a customer's error but AT&T's? Also not sure what to do about shipping my iPhone 4 that I sold, I guess I could ship it and activate my roommates old iPhone 3GS and just wait on the new one.

Side note: received a text from AT&T at 3:42 PM EDT on 9/14 saying: "Congratulations! Your preorder has been processed. You will be notified when your order has shipped."

TL;DR AT&T pushed my ship date back due to a 2 year contract agreement email error. :mad:

This is pretty much what happened to me. I never got the second email saying my order had been processed and sent to the warehouse because I apparently didn't accept the Terms and Conditions for the new 2-year contract.

At this point, my original preorder (2:51am EST) has been canceled by AT&T and I'm waiting 2-3 weeks for shipping.
 
"Attention"

I'm wondering if anyone who had CC issues and got the "attention" status was able to resolve their issue yet? I have been trying to fix this since Saturday with no luck. I checked my order status on Saturday and it said they could not verify my CC so I called in and verified all the necessary info and the woman claimed everything was fine with my CC but that there was an issue with my unlimited data plan and that someone from another department would be calling me back on Monday. Then on Saturday night I received 3 identical emails about 15 min apart saying to call in regarding my order. I tried 4 times and couldn't even get through so I gave up for the day. I tried going to a store for help yesterday but they said they can't verify CC details for an online order. Now today I have not received a call from anyone like the first woman on Friday told me I would. I called the number on the email this morning and after 80 min on hold I got through to another woman who told me I had reached the wrong department to help me with CC issues and that she would have to transfer me. I had run out of time so I told her to have someone call me back at 3 but I have not gotten a call back. I'm on hold now again (for 40 min so far).... I'm hoping someone can tell me they've had success because I'm losing all hope at this point. :(

Not a moron...it's just that a tracking number hasn't been assigned to the UPS/FedEx site yet.
 
AT&T Pre-Order

Placed my order on 9/14 @ 9:57am CDT. Just checked my order status today and it still shows processing. Not sure if I will get mine on Friday or not but it doesn't look good.
 
Ordered 6:00AM EST.

No billing problems, credit card has pending charge.

Upgrade via AT&T Premier.

16GB, black/slate.

Still "processing" on all order status pages.

Upgrade fee waived.

Told by 3 different reps my order would ship out 9/20.
