I dunno what's up with their systems. You'd think they'd have this figured out by now. I ordered on 9/14 at 7 pm est and I still don't even see an order on the order status page. I also never got a confirmation email after accepting the Terms and conditions. Hopefully everything works out.

I'm In the same boat. Ordered Friday at 8pm est, no order status page but they say I'll get an email when it ships.
 
i ordered white too. i think this time, the white one is superior. the black one is anodized, scratches are more visible than the raw aluminum back plate. ^_^

Yikes. I was unaware of that. I've never had a white one but boy do I hate scratches. Yet, hypocritically, I don't like to use cases. Because the case might prevent scratches but if its always in a case who cares if it has scratches to begin with!

Anyways, I do know a good bit about anodized metal and I did not know that Apple used that coloring technique for the iPhone 5. Bummer.
 
Spoke to ATT they said anything ordered after 11:45 am on Friday will take 14-21 days so im screwed too....Anybody else thinking about just canceling ATT order and going to a store Apple/bestbuy/ATT etc on Friday??

what time is that 11:45am central, moutain, pacific, eastern? lol I order mine at 9am moutain time and when I look at the order status it said order by 9/14/12 but everything backorder still and it says proccessing.

Not sure if this helps anyone but I ordered a black att 16 gb at 645 am friday the 14th.


Checked my phone # on ups reference and...

Scheduled Delivery:
Friday, 09/21/2012, by 3:00 P.M.(by end of day for residential deliveries)



Still shows processing / backordered on att order check as well.

reality is: no one has the iPhone 5 yet, so no one can comment on how scratch-prone it will be.

and i can already tell that if i do cancel they wont refund my account for so many business days typical att bull **** but if i cant cancel order i will try and be patient at least IOS 6 is around the corner:)
 
Online at 11:55pm..apple site still down so ordered from my phone.

Get an email with reservation and was told I would get directions to complete the order.

Got the directions stating I had till the 15th at 5pm to complete...treid doing so several times from 8am the 14th all the way to 5pm the 15th...still could not complete the order. Phone came up...could pick a data plan...then got could not connect with At&T or something like that.

Talked to several people at 1-800-MY-APPLE and they said to just keep trying. Finally a guy said he would contact his boss and see what he coudl do to extend the reservation. Called me back and said to just put the order in again and he would expedite the ship date with notes. As of now it says I will receive the 10-16th of October...!!! but he said it could take till today to update with the 21st of September...not confident that will happen...

Now I get and email to accept the AT&T terms and conditions...get a site to do so and it cannot find the order :confused:...the order does show on the apple site so I hope all is good...

this is absolute crap...I feel that we should get to go in with our reservation number and pick up at apple the 21st for all the bull we are going through...:mad:

Did you order via AT&T or Apple?
 
dont believe the AT&T website they have so many orders it's taking long to update just go to ups and put in your phone number in the reference search and it should come up so everyone calm down deep breaths no need to raise blood pressure if u can't find it on there try FedEx

Yeah nothing on FedEx or ups from AT&T pre order for me.

that's true too. but since i have an element case for my iPhone 4S, which is anodized black too. scratch is visible but it's not easy to chip the paint as it kinda becomes part of the metal. but i'm sure most of us will put invisible shield anyways. :)
 
Yea, my Premier order status has changed to look like yours.

I'm starting to think, just maybe, us premier customers have gotten screwed.

It's possible, but check out this thread from the iPhone 4 launch. I think you'll find some of the complaints familiar. I'm betting the iPhone 4S launch with AT&T was similar, but since I didn't buy the 4S I don't have personal experience.

My takeaway is this: The Premier site is much slower at updating than the regular AT&T site. That doesn't mean us Premier customers are second class citizens and won't be getting iPhones. It just means that we are short on information which leads to speculation and panic. There is probably a cutoff date & time for getting the iPhone on the 21st, but we'll probably never know what that cutoff is (AT&T reps will give different stories). And there will probably be some early-ordering customers that somehow slip through the cracks and don't get their new iPhones on the 21st. But the majority of the people that ordered in the morning of the 14th will get the iPhone 5 on the 21st. Those who ordered later in the day might not be so lucky.
 
I actually was able to place my order before 12 a.m. PST as well. I ordered the 64GB white one. I got an email later at around 7am saying that my credit card didn't go through due to insufficient funds when the cost was no where near the limit so I called Friday afternoon and they tried it again. Sunday afternoon I saw that the card was declined again so I called to try a different card. We were almost done with the process and then my phone died. I'm starting to think I shouldn't get this phone haha. Long story short I tried another card, it went through. I just got a text saying that my order was processed and awaiting shipment. I had a hell of a predicament but the CSRs that I spoke to we're all really helpful. Hopefully we all get it a day early like past preorders have.

I hope so! Just "chatted" online with an AT&T rep... Not super encouraging.

Rosa: Meaning it is waiting for shipment.

Kristin: what does that mean?

Kristin: so there are no "issues?" and all is well?

Kristin: So no AT&T customers who placed their orders early (as in way before 9am) will receive their phones on 9/21? They will be shipping on 9/21?

Kristin: Because as I've said, my confirmation email stated: Your order will arrive on 9/21/12.

Rosa: Allow me 1-2 minutes while is search further, is that ok?

Kristin: yes, thank you.

Rosa: Thank you so much for your patience.

Rosa: I am sorry but I do not have any other information, However, I do not see any issues with your order. It was received and completed at the time you stated and I do not see any reason why your order would do anything different than you were told.

Rosa: Did you have any questions regarding the information I have provided for you?

Kristin: no, I just wish all of the information wasn't so conflicting. shipping 9/21 and arriving 9/21 are quite different.

Rosa: I understand, your order is perfect. You will know exactly what the status of the shipment will be soon enough because once the order is ready to ship you will receive an email in advance to track the shipping.
 
AT&T iPhone's WILL SHIP 9/21

Just got off the phone with a rep and they told my all iPhones are shipping on 9/21!!!! THIS SUCKS!!!!
