Yes. I've been trying to say the same thing, but some people don't want to listen. And don't get me wrong, I get it. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of a new toy. But don't lose your mind obsessively refreshing the order status page and trying to decipher AT&T web chats.

I think you clicked quote on the wrong post, but yes, I believe he did mean noon eastern in the post you most likely meant to quote.
Agreed. It's one thing to check the status of your order online frequently, but its another to spend hours on the phone with people who have no idea what they are talking about and reading into that.
I get it too. I waited in line for hours for two of the launches when if I had just waited a week I could have walked in and out of the Apple store. This is like asking an insane person why they are insane. I won't try to rationalize it.
I REALLY want my phone Friday. Everything I've read on here says I'll probably get it Friday. I'll be sad if I don't. But let's be reasonable people. I feel bad for the AT&T reps.

I'm joining the boat saying that the reps know nothing. I just got off the phone with premier support and the guy said that "if you didn't order before the 13th your phone won't ship until October 24th". After we determined that yes, his system was indeed smoking crack, he said that if you ordered the first day in your state(???) it'll ship the 21st. I give up.
(And I know, relax, etc. But going nuts is half the fun of preorder/launch events!)

I had a good laugh on the "first day in your state" comment. I agree, the hype, enthusiasm, going nuts is all part of the enjoyment of new device launches.

oh like me. i'm enjoying it. if i get caught, i'll need a new job.
Just talked to a rep. from AT&T and he said that if you got your order in before 9am Pacific time on Sept. 14th your order will ship on or before Sept. 21st. He couldn't guarantee that it would deliver on the 21st though. For those of you who ordered after 9am Pacific time, there will be a 14-21 day wait before shipment.
