ordered 2 64GB via att 615am and 620am EST. Weird the one ordered second at 620am just went to "0" status on backorder. The first order at 615am still in "1" status on backorder.
 
I'm sure this has been addressed a million times but I'm not going to read 67 pages lol - hopefully someone can give me an idea of what is going on with shipping. I purchased the iPhone 5 32gb white on 9/14 at 11:45am (Arizona). If I log in through the email sent from Premier it states my order date was 9/14 yet when I log into AT&T's site it says I didn't purchase it until today. Is this happening a lot? Thanks :)
Part of the reason there are 67 pages in this thread (now 68) is because people who can't be bothered to read it keep asking the same questions... :rolleyes:

This appears to be a common occurrence. I ordered at 5:00am Arizona on 9/14. The Premier order status page shows 9/14 as the order date, but the regular AT&T order status page shows 9/15. I just chatted with a Premier rep (see previous page) and she said that my order was not actually received until 9/15 due to an "overwhelming" amount of orders on Premier. According to her, my delivery date has been pushed back to 14-21 business days.

I think it's pretty obvious that many Premier orders are going to get shafted come this Friday.

Ok (takes deep breathe),

So I pre-ordered a black iphone 5 16gb on 09/14/2012 at an AT&T store at about noon (12 pm) central time. That day I was convinced by store representatives that I would receive my iphone 5 on the 21st. However after speaking with an AT&T chat representative online, I was quickly told I would receive my phone in October (from 10/4 to 10/15). I stood up from my chair, started shaking a little, and ran downstairs to my girlfriend. I told her what the AT&T representative told me and yes, we were pissed. On 09/14 I paid $484 (upgrade fee of $36 NOT included), CONVINCED i was going to receive my iphone 5 on the 21st. I upgraded my line and paid $500 only because I sold my iphone 4 for $400. Other than that i wouldnt of upgraded. So then i thought to myself...."i am not paying over $500 to receive my iphone in the mail IN OCTOBER and still have to go to att to activate it." So i then called the AT&T store that i pre orded from and i angrily told them i wanted to cancel my order because of the info i have stated above. They asked for my personal info and cancelled my line within minutes. I didnt even need to go into the store. Yes i checked my order status online and it said processing and in process. I forgot to mention that the chat representative online told me that i cannot cancel my order because it has already been processed. I ignored her and she was obviously wrong. Many of u probably think i would have still received my iphone on the 21st but it was just too big of a risk for me. I rather take the risk of going into an att store on friday the 21st and paying the $500 to get my iphone right then and there......ALREADY ACTIVATED................watchaaaaaa ;)
 
Today i decided to bother the AT&T reps and first I called at 2pm and they told me that as my ordered was made at 11 am it will ship in 14-21 days. But, when I called at 7:30pm and told them the same thing the personas that attended me realized that I am from Tulsa so it was 11:20 am here and 9:20 am PT and the deadline was Friday 14th 9am PT, she told me that is probable for me to receive my iPhone 5 this friday or on monday-tuesday

Yup. I'm not on premier but I ordered Friday and didn't get my confirmation email until today. Now in my email it says ordered 9/17, when I actually ordered it 9/14. I also accepted TnC in Friday. It didn't show them being accepted until 345pm today. Pretty rediculous. 14-21 delivery date now.
 
Without having to remember on what page it was, what are the 2 separate websites for checking order status on AT&T.

Qty back-ordered?

I placed 3 orders via premier on 9/14.

Two of the orders just had the "Qty back-ordered" status column go from 1 to 0, while the third still shows an open back-order.

Does this actually mean anything?
 
Long time lurker. Every year when this time comes all of you crazy morons babble on for pages. While it makes me laugh, it pisses me off because you people are dumb enough to believe the same thing every year, that you somehow won't get your phone on time. Most of you will get your phones on time. CHILL THE **** OUT.
I order mine launch day everytime, and everytime it shows up with no problems, despite what my order says, what date it gives..etc.
Do yourselves a favor and stop ranting you all sound like idiots.

I'm a newbie here so first time following a thread like this for a launch. But this man is right. Holy **** some of you sound absolutely retarded. You don't bother to read anything, asks the same **** over and over, or asks other people when you're getting your iPhone like they work for AT&T. It's hard to get any real info from this thread. It's a wonder how people can work in customer service and have to deal with customers like this.
 
What time did you order? And what models?

I ordered around 12:30 PM EST (tried at 10:30 but the rep told me their system was down... bah), so I wasn't expecting to get anything any time soon. The rep at the time told me 14-21 days.

Two 32gb black models went to "0" backordered, while the one 16gb black stills shows "1" backordered.

I guess I just don't know if the qty back-ordered changing means anything or not! A lot of people here seem to think it does mean something. Don't want to get my hopes up prematurely!!

I pre-ordered my iPhone 5 16GB from AT&T at 6:45 AM Eastern Time last Friday from AT&T's website. I would've pre-ordered at 3 AM but kept getting a login failure so at 4 AM I went back to bed and ordered when I woke up. When I ordered the ship time showed it would arrive on 9/21 before I ordered and then once my order was complete I received my order number and the order form showed I would receive my iPhone on 9/21.

I thought all was good and well which made me happy since I sold my iPhone 4 through eBay Instant Sale for $235 and had until October 1st to ship it and still receive that quote.

Then things went really bad when I decided to check with AT&T today to see where the status of my order stood so I called in to customer service.

Upon calling in the representative on the phone informed me that I placed my order on 9/15 and I my phone would not ship until Oct. 4 - 15 and then would have to allow 14 - 21 days for my phone to arrive after it was shipped. Obviously this news upset me but I stayed calm and told the person on the phone that I placed my order at 6:45 AM on 9/14 and that the order complete screen showed me I would receive it on 9/21. She then told me this was not the case and stated how I would receive it next month. I asked to speak to a manager so she patched me through. The manager informed me that she saw I did place my order at 6:45 AM on 9/14 but I the reason for the change in the ship date was because I did not respond to a confirmation email from AT&T that I wanted to renew my 2 year contract until 2 PM EDT this past Friday. I then told her I never received such an e-mail from AT&T so there was no way I responded as she said I had and also informed her I never received a confirmation email of my order. She proceeded to tell me that this issue has happened to multiple people who ordered Friday morning where they didn't receive this "confirm your 2 year agreement" email and thus they ship time slipped from the first day (9/21) to next month and that there was nothing she could do regarding this error on AT&T's side.

This has me really frustrated and was wondering if anyone else had this issue? If so have you found out how to resolve this as this is not a customer's error but AT&T's? Also not sure what to do about shipping my iPhone 4 that I sold, I guess I could ship it and activate my roommates old iPhone 3GS and just wait on the new one.

Side note: received a text from AT&T at 3:42 PM EDT on 9/14 saying: "Congratulations! Your preorder has been processed. You will be notified when your order has shipped."

TL;DR AT&T pushed my ship date back due to a 2 year contract agreement email error. :mad:

My story...I ordered "my" 32 Gig Black iP5
- approximately 8:30 EST on Sep 14 through Premier.
- Received the order confirmation promptly, saying "should arrive as soon as Sept 21"
- Today saw your post (and was freaking a bit) because I DID NOT/ HAD NOT received the e-mail regarding confirmation of extending the contract for 2 years.
- called ATT Premier to find out what my order status was since all I could find out was that order was in "process" stage, about 30 minute wait. They said they had no holds on my order and that everything was normal and going forward.

So I don't know why your order and others were delayed. Or maybe my order really is delayed and the ATT rep didn't have a clue? But I am upgrading from a iP3G, so my contract has been up for 2 yrs now. Maybe that's the difference?
 
It would appear there is no rhyme or reason to how AT&T is setting the back order status, but I hope I get my phone Friday!!!

No kidding. I had to call AT&T on a non iPhone related matter today. I think the CSR was genuinely relieved that it wasn't somebody berating them about the status of their order and if they were getting their precious toy on Friday.

Kids have more patience at Christmas than grown adults buying a phone.
 
I ordered mine at 3:25am and am a Premier Customer and the wireless order status shows order date = 9/14 qty ordered=1 status=in progress


..If you check thru your confirmation email and ATT Premier site, it will show that you ordered on 9/14 at whatever time you ordered- BUT obviously your order then goes all the way through the AT&T WIRELESS SITE:

If you think it is bad now. Just wait till tonight or whenever ppl start reporting that AT&T has told them that their item has shipped. You will see tons of ppl asking why theirs has not shipped and freaking out lol!!
