I ordered from Apple through the iOS app at 3:56am ET. My email says shipping within 2 weeks. Oh well, still love my 4S so I don't need it in my hand the second it becomes available.

I ordered from Apple through the iOS app at 3:56am ET. My email says shipping within 2 weeks. Oh well, still love my 4S so I don't need it in my hand the second it becomes available.

Ordered mine via Normal ATT site this morning around 545am, and the final page said in Red letters that I should receive the phone by the 21st.
Received an email immediately saying my order has been processed and has been sent to the warehouse for shipping. But email doesn't mention anything about arrival date. One thing for sure, my CC (amex) was charged and the line is showing no longer eligible for upgrade. Let's hope I was in before the cutoff...

Thought I would add my story:
Woke up at 5:30EST and ordered 2 16GB phones ( one black, one white ) from the Apple store. 2 week shipping.
About 30 minutes ago ( around noon EST ), I decided to try and cancel one of the phones from Apple and re-order from AT&T online. It took about 10-15 for my upgrade eligibility to filter back to AT&T, but after I that I placed the order and it shows delivery for 9/21. I then canceled the 2nd phone from Apple, ordered from AT&T, and it also shows 9/21.
I guess we'll see how it goes...

Yes. That was the only email I rec'd. But I don't know what to make of it since there is no ship or delivery date. All it says is the order has been sent to the warehouse, i.e., my credit card checked out OK.
I'm in same boat. I usually order from Apple & must say ordering from AT&T feels like the first time I bought something online back in 1994. Their order info is cryptic & incomplete.

Ordered two phones through the app after both the At&t website and the apple site failed to work for me for 20 minutes. Kept getting the same page over and over again, or an error message.
Went through the app with absolutely no issue, at 12:27/12:29. Order has been in "processing" since sometime this morning, and the full charge is pending on my card.
I would say this was more difficult than when I got my 4, but still not too bad. Had the app not worked it would have sucked tremendously though.

All I have is an order that says Pending. Ordered through AT&T premier. Bank account shows only a 1 dollar charge so hopefully they are processing the order.
so for those of us that ordered from the apple store.....should we expect the phone to arrive on Friday the 21st or Saturday the 22nd? What happens if we aren't home? If Apple delivers it Friday while I am at work, will I be able to tell FedEx to hold it so I can pick it up at the FedEx location Saturday - or will I have to wait until Monday?
If your confirmation says the 21st, expect it on the 21st.
I don't know about asking Fedex to hold it. You'll likely have to check with Fedex.
I told my daughter she has to stay home that day.
What time did you order? I only received an initial "AT&T Premier Order Received" email and don't have a charge on my bank account yet.
For iPhones they require a signature of someone at least 18 years old at your home. That means someone over 18 that opens your front door has to receive the package. They will not leave it at your home or at an apartment leasing office even if you have previous releases.
If you miss delivery you have to wait for redelivery and be home then or go to the local UPS or Fedex depot and pick it up in person.
I received a similar text saying my order has been processed about 20 minutes ago. I pre-ordered at 3am EST last night.
Anyone have luck changing their shipping address? I don't remember having an option to enter a different shipping address other than the billing address, but maybe because I was blazing through the order process, I missed it. I contacted AT&T and they told me I basically have to cancel my pre-order after getting the T&C e-mail and re order it, but by then I'll probably won't get my phone til early november.
I have that too but it was the second email I received. The first email said my iPhone will ship soon and will arrive on 9/21.
Yes - if it comes FedEx but you have to wait for first delivery attempt before requesting. Not sure UPS station is open for p/u on Sat.
When did you order? Re: charge -- it's just an authorization to make sure your card is valid. It will come off in 5-7 days. Actual charge doesn't happen till it ships.
FYI- last year I ordered through AT&T and they did NOT require a signature. It was on my porch when I got home from work.
I was hoping they had the iphone 5 at their warehouse like right now since they said it has been sent out to the warehouse...just dreaming i guess!
I just got the same text. I ordered through the AT&T website this morning around 6:30am.
Are you on a first name basis with your delivery guy?
For both the 4 and 4S they wouldn't leave it. UPS told me that Apple expressly forbids it.
