It only says Bluetooth for the horipad

With the 80 hours of battery vs the nimbus 40 hours I'm guessing the horipad is 3.0 ?

What makes the nimbus Bluetooth 4.0 better over the other 3.0 controllers ?

I have the Nimbus but also need a second controller. This would be it however I'm now wondering what options we'd have in another few weeks?

despite the obvious 1.0 issues with the tv I think controller manufacturers see the direction this is heading and this could be a good time for options as the holidays quickly approach.

i got mame working after a few hours

heres how

load mame into xcode like you did provenance

you need to change the bundle ID like you did for provenance

and select the apple tv like you did provenance

now after its loaded in Xcode on the right side of the app where it says imame4tvos,
Click on it to expand the sub folders


now open the folder called "resources"

delete the red roms ,right click delete, donkey kong is on there and other games
delete all of them, if you don't the app install will fail

now drag all your own roms in there ,the resources folder

click ok on the popup

let it load/index

after is done click the play icon on top like you did with provenance

you will see a lot of warnings on the right , that's fine
You will see your roms copying to the Apple TV at the end

After is done it should say mame ready or loaded on apple tv

disconnect the apple tv and is done


you need the rom set "MAME4ALL 037b5" you can find it if you search
the full complete set is 1.8gb


It works great with the nimbus controller

L1 is to add coins
R1 is to start game

You can hit L1 and R1 together during a game to change Mame settings in game

Tried your steps above but when I expand imame4tvos and click the "Resources" folder, I see no red roms and I attempt to delete roms like Donkey Kong by right clicking, nothing happens. Can you take a screen capture of where I should access the Resources folder in case I'm in the wrong area?

I understand that BT 4.0 features less latency. I definitely notice the Nimbus is more responsive than the Mad Catz CTRL. Whether that's due to bluetooth or something else, I can't say.
 
if you guys could have one more console added today to provenance , what would it be?

I have MAME working, however has anybody been able to get the vector based games like ASTEROIDS or STAR WARS to run? It crashes for me, and I was wondering if this was a general issue, or just my config?

They don't work

A lot of games don't work and have no sound

Did you get the 1.8gb rom set ? From the bay
About 90% of the games I tried worked , except for a few that I don't care about
And some work but have no sound like neogeo games , the dev said that needs to fixed and he doesn't know how to do that

Getting any rom from sites won't work

Has to be the old 0.37b5

Ah ok thanks. Just got back from the Apple Store and picked up the nimbus. How do you get it to play the game? I can use it to move around on my screen and apps and such but when I try to use it to play super Mario it won't work and only the apple remote.

Remove the app from task switcher and reopen app with the controller

If that don't work go into provenance settings and make the controller player one


Also set the deadzone dpad to zero

thanks got it to work but now I can't play two player? When its my girlfriends turn on super mario the controller doesn't work. Do we need to have a second remote?

for the first time yesterday i did noticed some lag playing snes megaman x, with the controller nimbus
you have to smash the button fast to shoot and it didn't register a few times

do you know how to install that? sorry I have no background in any sort of coding.

Im gonna guess copy paste the new code into the old code file? delete all the code in the pvcontrollerviewcontroller.m and then paste the new code. Then reinstall provenance?
