Exactly! This is why I don't understand why Apple won't incorporate some kind of rest day feature into the watch. Sometimes I feel like these challenges push you way beyond healthy and reasonable limits. Sometimes it's good to push beyond your comfort zone, but these challenges sometimes make you constantly do that which isn't good. And they continue to get harder and harder to reach. I just don't get why Apple completely ignore the importance of rest.

Their excuse is likely 'They should know better'. Yeah, we should, but I remember the riding program. I was so stressed with IRL things, that being on the bike was an escape. I kept half an eye on my health, and my urine (being an indication of over training, but by the time it's in the pee, it's gone far too far) but was driven to ride it. DRIVEN! Possessed by, real life, and the need to escape it somehow. Bubble wrap used to be enough. Damn...

I feel the same about rest days. I feel like I didn't accomplish anything and that I'm being lazy, but I know it's necessary.

To tag onto my earlier comment to your comment, I was also riding from 'age'. Well, that will come up and get you at some point. Taking time off will help keep it at bay. Not over using the body works great too. Like Indiana Jones said: "It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage".

I’m not doing the August challenge, but is there any special challenge this month?

Still hitting my 200 percent every day. Although as the weeks gone on my exercise minutes has come down from the 400% at the weekend!
