My case must be taking the scenic route from Sydney to Melbourne 😂 been on the road since Friday. 🤦‍♂️😤
Auspost is getting smashed at the moment. I have a few parcels that have been 'delayed' for which I got an email from Auspost apologising for the delays. I actually had something delivered at 5pm on Saturday which was a surprise. Luckily the phones will be delivered by startrack or TNT.

Guess we all can’t be as lucky as @Boardiesboi 🥺😂

Phone to phone transfer, side by side for me, don’t have iCloud, how do I get my watch across to the new phone? didn’t work last year. 🤦‍♂️😂
i use a mac for backup and restore.
need to encrypt the backup to have the health data backup
unpair the watch first, this will backup the watch to the phone
backup the phone
restore backup to new phone
setup watch once the phone is restored
watch setup process will give option to restore from the date and time the watch was unpaired in the old phone.

Every single iPhone in the last few years have been delivered by TNT overnight express.

Unless the Fedex strike affects the workforce?

What if I want to skip the backup part and do side by side transfer, will this still bring the Watch over to the new phone?

not sure. never done a side by side transfer but the step to backup the watch is to unpair from the phone it is paired with. may be try a side by side transfer after unpair the watch.

Sounds like the way to go, didn’t unpair the watch last time, can’t be bothered restoring from a mac backup 😂

Thanks for the help 👍

No problem LFC2020.
I think iCloud back and restore will be easier this time as apple is giving all the space needed for old phone backup and allowing 21 days to move the back up from old phone to new. Just got this option pop up in iOS 15 RC.
I guess this will be a good trial for apple to move to portless phone next year or the year after I guess.

Me and iCloud don’t get along for some reason 😂 I backup to my Mac, I’ll try unpairing the watch first, then transfer to transfer like you told me, interested to see if it works. 👍

Worse case scenario if it doesn’t work, it’ll take me a few minutes to set up the watch again, not fussed about losing health data.

Let us know how you get on. I usually do a Mac backup and restore but might try the phone to phone option and see how it goes. I’ll still do a Mac backup, just in case.

Other option is to set up as new, seeing as I’ve been playing with the iOS 15 betas. I use iCloud to backup everything, so I won’t lose anything. Not sure how health and the watch data works there but.

I’ll definitely do a backup, I’ll let you know how the transfer to transfer goes.

FYI, silicone and leather cases have just become available for pickup at the Apple Sydney store.

Just cancelled my order for delivery as that one was showing an estimated arrival of 24 - 28 Sep, and placed a new order for picking up the case tomorrow instead.

Thanks for the tip! I’ve received everything I ordered except one Otterbox case, and that can’t be picked up :(

They have started shipping recently, not last week. It would be cool to not make fun of someone who just saw a screenshot of “configure your new iPhone” and thought he had it earlier than expected.

I was just asking, anyways.
Thanks for the update. Cheer up. We're all get iPhones 😊👍👍🏼

Is this the abyss blue? I was so torn between this and the new cherry leather for my gold phone. Ended up with the leather, but I adore this colour!
Jay blue, won’t go near a dark silicone case again, shows to much dust and lint.

buy 2 cases like I’m doing 😁

Cherry and gold will look 🔥👌

Yes while the silicone case looks and feels nice, they stick to my pocket and takes on lint and dust very easily.
They also get chipped very easily. Dropped my plum silicone last year in the car park and a small chunk came off.
Will stick with leather

Should of tried your luck returning it to apple, they always exchange my cases for me 😂
