All these jokers with their fake boxes. Please.......must be real lonely or something. If these boxes were indeed shipped out to all the dealers, testers and such someone would have opened theirs and posted pics. Come on, get real !!!!!!!!!
Why? Apple's NDA does not say a received box cannot be shown. It's the products or materials it contains, otherwise you'd have to blindfold all DHL, UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc employees who might see the box.
Because I wouldn't want people looking up my home address using FedEx's tracking number.
Also, I wasn't sure if he was going to continue on describing the 3g phone he has already seen, or if the NDA was violated by him saying he has seen/used the 3g phone.

If the box he showed were real the NDA would have already been broken.
Here's a sample for you. And by even showing a portion of the note in a way I'm breaking the NDA :
This, by far the worst thread I have ever came across on MR. Apple, or any company, would never ever ship something that says " do not open till... top secrete" really big and place it on the box. And APPLE is not a basement company, these boxes/ labels look like they were made in a preschool art class. I think they can afford to class up the shipping box. I am actually mad about what I have seen.
I've received a few things from Apple mailed in similar boxes with very similar shipping labels. One time was when I received my iPod nano from the student discount thing last August, and another time when my 12" PB qualified for the battery recall. That box is definitely from Apple.
I can't see how this would be a violation. Everyone knows a new iPhone is coming. Everyone knows it is 3G. Everyone knows that products are beta-tested before shipment to the masses. Everyone knows that people have to test them. Everyone knows that products are seen before they go public. It's disclosing information about the product that is not already common knowledge that would be a violation. JMO
Then you got screwed bc every box I have gotten from apple never had the letter head look like that. Yes it was a brown box, but the way the lables look on these are total ********. The Apple logo is never that big in shipping. When I got my MBP in the mail this year the literature was very discrete and hidden.
It is very possible these people used old boxes from apple and put these horrid looking labels on it
Says it's not allowed to be opened...Doesn't say anything about using an X-ray machine! Just brake your leg, tape the box to your leg for 'support' then go to the hospital, as soon as you get your X-ray's done, grab them, and hop away like a mad man.
I'm not supposed to say anything, but I will say that those boxes may be legit. I am a private Apple product tester (I've already seen the iPhone 3g first hand) and they occasionally send me newly released or announced products to check over for any last minute issues before they are released to the general public. I just got this box myself, I'm thinking it may be the final iPhone 3g, either that or Steve has something else up his sleeve for WWDC.
Baffles come clean. Apple does not send out any packages with the labels taped on them (they can easily tear away from the package during transit in the major carriers automated systems). Anyone ever receive a package that has been in transit from CA to NY in a major carriers system and have the labels appear as sparkling white and clean as Baffles here? Finally your package has a ship date of June 4th for FedEx Home Delivery Service, that is a 5 day transit time from CA to NY. Maybe you are a time traveller as well as Steve's personal product tester.
P.S> You should have blacked out the system# on your label, we can track that as well![]()

Showing a box is not a violation of the NDA. Even your attachment says that you cannot show the product or the content created with it. If he showed the packaging of the product it would be a violation. Showing a shipping box with an Apple address is not a violation, even if the box indicates it contains something covered under the NDA.

LOOK WHAT I FOUND! IT'S IN AN ELEVATOR SO IT MUST BE TRUE!1!!![]()
This is not the regular elevator. Steve must have remolded for this year. Stayed tuned for new elevator pictures.

+1
Other way around it would mean that every fedex/ups guy could be sued.
