I'm not supposed to say anything, but I will say that those boxes may be legit. I am a private Apple product tester (I've already seen the iPhone 3g first hand) and they occasionally send me newly released or announced products to check over for any last minute issues before they are released to the general public. I just got this box myself, I'm thinking it may be the final iPhone 3g, either that or Steve has something else up his sleeve for WWDC.
I attached hi-res shots of the box. (updated to remove barcodes)

Paragraph 1: "Confidential Information, however, does not include inforamtion that : (a) is now, or subsequently becomes generally available to the public through no fault or breach on the part of the recipient ..."
Therefore, telling us that a 3G iPhone exists is not a violation, and numerous site have been reporting on it for weeks / months. No information about the product has been disclosed, therefore no violation has occurred.
Seeing as you were HOME on a friday afternoon having fun with a jigsaw puzzle tells me that you're either a) unemployed, b) disabled, or c) wealthy (although the cheap look of your kitchen table there kinda convinces me it's not C). I doubt apple taps either A or B of these markets for their "private apple product tester" positions.

until apple confirms the existence of a 3G iPhone, that is not considered "inforamtion that is generally available." Until apple verifies it, it's just speculation.
Pundits guessing about products or features of products do not give people under NDA free reign to talk about those features or products.
Well, I work from home (I'm a software developer), and the jigsaw puzzle is not mine (I don't live alone...).![]()
Apple has confirmed by allowing stock of the current iPhones to exhaust ... and ... would NEVER release a new iPhone without 3G if they want a single customer to buy their new product.
yeah i am sure that would stand up in court
NDA's still apply even if everyone ASSUMES that the secret information is correct. Nowhere did apple say "we are cutting stock of our iphones BECAUSE WE ARE LAUNCHING A NEW VERSION WITH 3G"
In fact apple hasn't even said ANYTHING about cutting their stock except for saying that it's no longer available.
Assumptions don't trump NDA's.
Well, I'm not under one, so I can say anything I want ...
THERE IS A 3G iPHONE and it WILL BE ANNOUNCED on June 9, 2008 at WWDC.![]()
well you've already broken the NDA already by confirming the existense of a 3g iphone anyway, so why not just open the box and show what was inside then if it's real and you are who you say you are?
I didn't think so.
So let's see, a newbie with (currently) 23 posts who joined a week ago (give or take) posts a picture claiming to be a box full of 3G iPhones from Apple...
Yeah -sounds right to me!

Oh but it's more. This "private apple product tester" doesn't even have a mac. According to his profile he has a quad core PC running OS X (which is against apple's license agreement btw) and is currently saving up for a macbook pro (for school).
Working from home not really workin' out for ya?
Where you at baffles? the information helping your credibility is just PILING up here.
yeah i wasn;t exactly saying "you" can't say anything. I was just trying to talk some sense into anyone that actually believes the misinformation you were spouting about NDAs.
Do you always call out your own name?![]()
