I live in the metro Detroit area and the Apple Watch Series 2 - Sport Space Grey was no where locally (e.g Apple, Target...) available. However, today on the Best Buy website it says ship to store by 10/15 (this Saturday). I ordered it. Let's see if it works out. If so I can cancel my Apple online order.

Finally found one today. Local apple store had the 42mm SS with white band. I ended up getting an additional blue band ...love it! So far so good, all set up and loving some of the new Watch OS 3.0 features.
Same one I got, only took a few days shipping to store using BB. Got my wife her 38mm gold one same way.
I've come to accept that any time I decide I want something made by Apple, I should plan on either waiting a few weeks or calling 20 stores a day until I find one. I had to call 17 stores last weekend before I found a store that had ONE 6S Plus in stock. I then decided I wanted a series 1 Apple Watch and had to call 12 stores before I found one of those.

Here it is. Maybe I'll take it swimming tomorrow. I returned the Series 1 version. Here are the differences I've seen in only 5 hours. Speed seems a little faster even though they use the same processor. Sound is a definitely louder for phone calls and alarms. It is thicker but I don't really notice. I didn't buy it for the GPS, but it's good to have and the extra battery life seems to be good so far. I'll update in a few days. Waterproof-ness is great to have. Now I can use my phone and watch by the hot tub with no worries.

This looks great! I like the color combo too. Is this the exact model/color u wanted? I understand how the stock limitation sometimes have most of us "settle" for what's available

Yes, this is exactly what I wanted. In fact, I was good with my space gray Series 0 until I saw this color combo. The gold also goes with more color combinations than the space gray one. I hope you get your watch soon. It's definitely worth it.
Mine is showing the same thing....I ordered mine last night SS 42mm with white sport band....and now it's showing "Preparing" for mine as well...the original email i received from them said i could pick it up on Saturday the 15th as well.......can't wait!
Well that was short lived....received an email this morning from BB stating that the shipment is delayed and that it will be available for pickup on Wednesday the 19th......anyone ever get a delayed email and than still get to pick it up on the day it was originally quoted.....or am I wishful thinking?
That sucks. I haven't received an email yet about a potential delay but I also ordered a couple days ago. I'll keep you posted.

They did that with my iPhone 7 Plus preorder but never gave me a sure date. It was frustrating. I ordered mine on 10/12 and they sent me an email on 10/13 that it's shipped but because I chose the free standard shipping, they didn't give me an exact date of delivery either. BB website did say 10/19 delivery at the time of purchase. So hoping for the best. Will keep u posted
I just flew from CT to Hawaii yesterday. The Apple store near my house in CT is showing a Silver 42MM Sport available. I'm so frustrated.
I got this morning an email from BB that my in-store pickup was pushed to 10/20. Not happy...
I don't think there in store. I went yesterday and they said there was none in the store yet only online for now.
The Macy's I went to said they had a pile of them in the back but they can't put them out until 10/25
Well I just ordered one from T-Mobile. It should ship between today and 10/20. The good thing is I put it on a EIP and won't have to pay any interest.
yep. I canceled my order that said 4 weeks with the iPhone. I ordered it the same day from Best buy, and it shipped the next day. I'll have my new 7 plus Tuesday.
I am willing to bet they have the watches. If best buy lets you add it to cart, that means they have it in stock.
