I'm getting the iPhone 11R, reasonable upgrade from last year, just wish it had OLED

Just a guess, but I'll bet they are making fewer Pros in favor of the simpler 11s. Also may that the demand is up because folks like me skipped last year because of price and are buying this year....

The real super cycle might be happening. Lots of people rocking older model iPhones. They use their iPhones “almost” every day - I am guessing of course. Not just for phone calls either! they use it for the “apps” and it has an alarm clock in it and a camera too!

I'm not surprised the iPhone 11 is still available while the Pros are selling out fast. The people who stay up until 5am or get up at 8am to order as soon as possible are the hardcore fans, and therefore tend to get the latest and greatest. People who order the lower model tend to wait until later in the day or just wander into the Apple Store at some point to pick one up.

Apple store is broke with new Apple card can not complete my order for a new iphone getting "
: Please enter fewer characters." Apple call center is backed up!!!!!!!"

Been trying for the last half hour to complete the order.
Had the same error. It had copied my phone number twice into both phone number fields. Cleared the second one out and it worked.

You mean they made fewer of the most hideous, non-upgraded iPhone in history and now they have dwindling stock? I'm so surprised...

I can't imagine buying this phone unless mine suddenly exploded. And even then I'd get the cheapie model because next year will have 5G, probable new form factor, etc. I guess if people want to throw money away they can, but it might be nicer to donate that $1000 to a food bank or something.

Ordered 11 Pro Max in Silver and Space Grey for me and the wife. 9/20 delivery. Glad I did it. If you listen to the naysayers in here there was going to be plenty of stock with no problems. Nobody is going to upgrade this year.

I ordered a midnight green 256GB Pro Max from the AT&T Site at around 5:15am. Order page currently says it will deliver by Sept 19th. Will see if this holds true. In my prior experiences, the delivery date from AT&T has always come through.

Yes could be true. Definitely pre-orders are like that - it’s for nerds like us. If you don’t want to wait this is the only thing you can do - and it’s still kind of fun :)

Just couldn't justify the pro model. Went for the 11.

Same. The 2020 iPhone is the one I want with the redesign. I’m due an upgrade and my battery sucks so I went for the 11. With my trade in (iPhone X) it was only $400. I’ll suffer through the lower specs.

I tried to pre-oder on BestBuy.com but since I have a trade in, pre-order must be done in store to evaluate my iPhone Xr.

Guess I'll go to the store after work tonight.

I don’t know, I have to see this green color in store first, then I’ll make my decision. I’m not partial to any one color, but I want to see it first. I have had Gold/space gray/silver all in the past, the green looks interesting. (And no, I don’t use cases if I don’t have to.)
Yeah that’s the thing...between the two of us my husband and I have had all the colors by now. We couldn’t help becoming intrigued by spinach green. I preordered my go-to Caudabe Lucid Clear for it.

I’ve got a health problem that might require me to return the Midnight green Pro. If so, the other new green kid in town, the green iPhone 11 will be a welcome alternate.

Ordered a 64GB Space Grey Pro. For sept 20th delivery no less. Apprx. 10 mins after store got back up.

Watching the keynote I initially thought the “regular” 11 would suffice, but then realized it was the size of the XR which is just a tad too big for me, my hands and pockets. Sucks paying a lot extra for a smaller footprint but hey taking greater photos is always a plus.

If it turns out the 256GB model features 6GB RAM and the 64 doesn’t, I will be really sad. Already thinking I might sell off this one in ~10 months and if the case of less RAM comes through I will certainly go through with that plan.

They already said weeks ago that they have the ability to ramp up production meaning they wouldn't over produce this time.

I went ahead and upgraded because I am on the upgrade program and I wanted better cameras.

I'll be babying this to sell next year and get off the upgrade program (provided the radios are qualcomm).
