Not surprising that the green models got pushed into later deliveries. Apple certainly knew it would be a popular color, so I’m sure they skewed their production to account for it (like they learned after the first gold fiasco). I wonder whether it has equal appeal with males and females or if, as I suspect, it’s going to be more male centric of a color. I like the fact that it is different than simple gray, gold, silver or white options. And with the larger Pro Max, there is a lot of green to see, which is why I chose it.

I got in right at 5 and completed the order in under a minute, and I still got a September 23 delivery date for space gray Pro Max 256 AT&T.

Amazed at how fast that was this morning. In less than 60 seconds and while laying in bed! :D
Ordered pro max 256 5:02 am. Confirmation email 5:05 am. Went back to order a case. Very easy. Should be in my hands next week!

Walmart.com was basically sold out instantly.
Tried for an in stock 256gb version, took me to a page to login to verizon. Wouldn’t log me in. Walmart.com is garbage site.
Couldn’t do it through the Walmart app.

ended up getting from verizon through verizon app

Funny how us humans can see things 2 totally different ways. I love that green color and got one for launch. Can’t wait!

I do too. Always get space gray and excited for this new color. Will go well with the brown leather case or maybe just use it naked! LOL

Just a guess, but I'll bet they are making fewer Pros in favor of the simpler 11s. Also may that the demand is up because folks like me skipped last year because of price and are buying this year....

I mean. It’s the same story every year. iPhone sales slip... people upset that their phones won’t be delivered on launch day... by way of miracle. Their delivery date bumps up the Wednesday before delivering.

I don’t know, I have to see this green color in store first, then I’ll make my decision. I’m not partial to any one color, but I want to see it first. I have had Gold/space gray/silver all in the past, the green looks interesting. (And no, I don’t use cases if I don’t have to.)

Yeah, same here. With these new matte finishes, I can't trust the images online. I want to see and hold it before I decide which colour I want.

Every year, the naysayers say that Apple is losing their edge. Can't compete. Can't make a worthwhile product.

Not "innovative" they say. "Not what Jobs would do," they say.

Every year...they are wrong.

Exactly how is this phone innovative?

Its just a incremental release with marginal changes. Super desirable only to those with much older phones wanting to upgrade.

That camera array is UGLY.

The matte might be nice, but no way to know until you put in hand.

I am sure Apple will claim success immediately based on sales, but a bet a s-load of the phones will be returned. I am sure they discontinued the X/XS so that the press could not report that it was selling better than the 11 once those returns start.

Thats why you never know what people want. EVERYONE its the same phone it will have no demand blah blah blah, the average consumer doesn't watch Youtube reviewers rate phones nor do they know what may or may not be coming in 2020. They seen this phone and said I want it and ordered it. Sorry just bothers me when we as individuals try and speak for the masses.

Thing is, nobody knows just how many phones Apple actually will have ready for launch day.

They may have simply not manufactured as many as the year before, but who knows?

You ignore what the camera array DOES, because then you’d have to acknowledge that it is innovative, and you focus on what the camera array LOOKS LIKE, as if anyone buys a camera because of what it looks like.
