Available to Ship: 2 Weeks???

So if my email message from Apple says delivers 21, then I got in before the 2 weeks delay? I used the apple app on iphone. Thanks

That happened to me. Got a reservation email at 3:29. Got a second email and checked out at 3:54.
 
Mine was ordered 5 minutes after they opened sales, and it says "delivered: 9/21" so i guess
the first wave of us will not have to wait at all.
 
Maybe we get lucky? Will hate to see people get them in stores while feeling like an idiot for waking at 4AM to preorder...
 
One thing to remember is that Apple has to allocate a large supply of phones for all their stores on launch day. So it's not just the all the people that are pre-ordering, but the vast number of phones that apple is shipping to all their stores on the 21st. I am sure that they want to make sure that they don't have a bunch of angry people that are going to be waiting in line on launch day.

I was thinking this also. This phone went super fast though. So either many more people ordered or they dont have as many supplied. I want to know how many will be in stock at stores on launch day.

I know, I'm almost thinking I should cancel the order and go to Walmart by my house at 8AM. But I'm worried abut the computer keeping my upgrade tied up.
 
32 gb black AT&T ordered in the first 5 mins via apple store app (web browser wouldn't let me in) said delivered by 9/21

when do you think we'll start seeing shipping confirmation for those who got the 9/21/12 shipping date? I'm thinking for those of us who got 2 weeks shipping date, if we don't get the shipping confirmation the same time as theirs, then I guess for me, I'll just cancel it and get in line at Apple Store. :confused:

yea but example iPhone 4S didn't sell out pre-orders until mid morning on that friday.. either demand way up for Apple doesn't have much stock on hand..

I just tried to cancel since AT&T.com is STILL showing deliver on 9/21, but the site won't let me cancel, thus my upgrade is tied up, thus can't order with AT&T. Really regret going through apple this year!

Would like to know that as well. I have next Friday off, need to know what day to switch it to.
 
Verizon is still showing stock. Tried to check AT&T but their site has crashed completely. I'm thinking Apple didn't have a lot of stock on hand and dedicated most of it to the carriers and their stores.

That's what I will be doing. But either this preorder sell out (for initial batch) means there isn't enough stock or demand is extremely high that camp out may be necessary.

Pretty sure within.

Call me crazy, I have a feeling that the "ships within 2 week" crowd will have their phones on 9/21. Apple always overestimates shipping times.

Correct, you can get one at an Apple retail store on Friday.....if you don't mind waiting in line for several hours. Lines will be long (always are on iPhone launch day) and if you don't mind waiting you will walk out with one.

from past years I would say probably tuesday
