I simply don't know how you could arrive at this statement:

Because it isn't a statement, it's a premise.

I was addressing the notion that someone saw fit to ask if these girls were "legal." Now, it wasn't explicitly stated in the post, but in my mind if you're asking if a person of the opposite sex is "legal" you're not generally referring to their immigration status. So I was speaking in that context.
