Apple Insider lists the following specs:

But the MBP is almost certainly going to sport 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM. I would think they would include a 160GB hard drive. And the screen is most likely going to be a new LED backlit screen.

This would be cool!

The MBP may not sport 800MHz RAM though; it seems like availability is still an issue with that (many Santa Rosa-based laptops that have been released/unveiled so far do not ship with 800MHz RAM).

i dont know if this is classed as a leak but go to the australia site, go through "get a mac" then scroll down and click into macbook pro.. does anyone else's pictures NOT load at the top of the macbook and macbook pro??

Mine don't not load, does that count ?

Based on Crucial prices, a 2GB SODIMM for a MacBook Pro would be:
$265 for DDR800
$185 for DDR667

That's not bad... for a 2GB module, but it doesn't matter anyway as the SR chipset doesn't support 800MHz RAM, at least according to someone in an earlier thread :p

i have to leave for school in 10 min

Sucks to be you, but we were all there once (unless you went to school before the internet was big)...

This is going to make me sleep through class if I stay up..

It's a reasonable trade-off.

good think study hall lets me get on a computer

I hear they're taking all the computers offline for maintenance at your school today...

Apple's site just went full down.

Up and down, and up, and down....

Hopefully I'll be able to buy a new MBP when i go on lunch today. But the more realistic possibility is buying it tomorrow.

The best thing about this is the move to NVIDIA graphis cards, the current generation of mobile chips by NVIDIA is far superior (8000 series) to the new (yet to be released) ATI chips.

As I am not in the market until Christmas, im not dissapointed that the hardrive options are so underwhelming (along with a lack or HDMI) and that it still lacks a nice LED display.

Also, a new design would be nice. I dont want my new computer too look like the one I bought four years ago (to a mac novice, it looks like i have a MBP even though its an old 1.5ghz powerbook).

1.5Ghz PB G4 4 years ago?!!

I really hope the update is more then a small speed boost and a flashier video card. I want to look at an update to a machine and say "Wow, thats one hell of an update"

All I want is a desktop computer cheaper than a Mac Pro that can run a 30" cinema. :(

You know the way the store is down for so long you would think workers were physically carrying in the new links.

Shhh... it's a secret, we don't want that getting out.

Surely that's a good thing, because these people think you have an up-to-date computer, instead of the reality that you actually live.

Just happened to me too. Weird, eh?

Guess it makes sense, having to restart the AIM servers so they'll work with the iPhone...

What I want to know is why did my iChat disconnect (and is refusing to reconnect) as soon as the apple store went down. Coincidence?

What I want to know is why haven't I been booted off iChat yet :p

Right? Heaven forbid they make the computer we all want.

G5 MBP here we come :D :D :D

Yeah... not likely unfortunately :(

I really hope the MacBook Pro specification page is updated. It worries me that we can still hit the old one.

Get ready for a mass iPod sale in the Marketplace.

This will be interesting...

With Leopard just around the corner - no way I am buying a Mac now... but it will be interesting to see what they do... Mac laptops are way behind the competition with regard to SPECS and price these days... and yes specs and $$$ are important to people outside of these MAC forums.

Raptors like their Mac Book Pros
