Would not happen if the Democratic Party had had it's offices in a Holiday Inn in the 70s...
Come on Apple stop it please. If a new feature, or gimmick isn't quite ready for the real world, just wait until you get it right. If it's a new feature, people aren't going to miss it anyways, as they haven't seen it yet. People are losing confidence in you. Better off making people wait a little longer and release something that really "Just works", rather than creating a big mess.

I love how the first 4 comments are pretty much trolling when it was pretty obvious to most reasonable people that this had nothing to do with Apple.
I just realized today I have NFC vending machines at my work, so I bought something using ApplePay. Super simple, I like it a lot.

We've had credit card systems that have been around for decades but they still have problems like this from time to time.

What did you do wrong? I, and millions of others, have updated with no problems.
Apple did not invent the technology.
It is a standard system that Apple integrated with their phone. They do not have a control on most part of it.

You don't get it. In a forum like this, trolls usually are the ones attacking.
This is a huge WIN for Apple. By not storing transaction details they can completely wash their hands of this problem.
But it does raise the question how do you pay for two identical items, one straight after another?
