Never ceases to amaze me how many fools will rush to judgement on issues like this without ANY Facts.. CNN couldn't report its way out of a wet paper bag. They can't be trusted to look out a window, see its daytime and report it correctly.

Anderson Cooper has to be one of the worst trouble making journalists allowed to open his mouth!

The first page of this thread is hilarious. Good Lord it's like these Android users have some kind of Google alert set up for news on Apple. Instant attacks on Apple without any facts.

This is why I will use the final version of Pay in Europe once Americans have finished their beta testing. Thank you guys!
Whatever bank holds your credit card account will have to write software to process the payments. You should hope your bank learns from B of A's mistake, but it's possible for them to screw it up another way.

Never ends, I can't believe the deep hate of Apple from a small group of people or, Android and Samsung???

That's funny because I remember when I ordered my first B&W G3 Mac in the first Apple Store they charged me for 5 units and delivered three to my door.
They eventually made everything right. Even the over the credit fees.

This is 100% Bank of America's fault. The cesspool of the financial industry knows no bounds when it comes to incompetence.

You stated as if your single experience was the norm and not the exception.
You are the one in the Apple ivory tower pointing down at those who find issues with Apple, hence the "sensationalized bullcrap" comment you made in your original post.

my comment really had nothing to do with Apple or Bank of America and everything to do with MacRumors attempt to create bigger news out of something not quite as huge as the title implied.

in other news, i just tried two BofA cards and a Capital One card on a Pepsi machine and they were all declined using ApplePay. no issues swiping the one i ended up using.

all i can tell you is my personal findings with certain apps, and so far my google wallet and softcard apps work without any issues using the same card and banking info

Do you want to report what it was like a few days after Google Wallet was released?

There were far worse problems with Google Wallet including severe issues where credit card numbers were compromised.

But, hey, it's Google, not Apple, so don't complain about them, right?

I wonder if this is related to why I received 2 email messages from Bank of America letting me know that I added my card to Apple Pay. I haven't tried using it yet as I haven't been in a store yet that uses NFC. But, I just removed my card from Passbook and re-added it again, just to be sure that I didn't do anything wrong the first time. And, I still received 2 emails from B of A.

Going to sit this one out until the fix is in place.

I believe what you are seeing is one email telling you the first one was deleted. Then another email when you add it back with the new virtual number. At least thats how mine has worked.

This is unacceptable! You can't **** like that with people's MONEY!!! And don't tell me Apple Pay has nothing to do with Apple! Repeat after me, Apple Pay, Apple Pay, Apple Pay! Now, do you think "Apple Pay" could have anything to do with "Apple"?

Are you ranting? Trollling? Can't read? Failure of the educational system? B of A admitted fault and even stated that Apple Pay had nothing to do with the glitch. What more proof do you need?

Thank you for asking my exact question! I don't think he read the updates!

I knew it! How have you been? Staying out of trouble? :D

lol

That's a Appl-ey thing to say.. It's not like Apple hasn't it's fair share of problems either. But this is MR, so i suppose we must :)

Read the UPDATES. IT IS ON THE BOA SIDE, NOT APPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe so, but I'd be surprised if Apple doesn't dedicate any resources to helping BoA fix the problem. Even if it's BoA who made the mistakes, it's in Apple's best interest (as well as BoA's) that the problem be solved as quickly as possible.

I tried buying $21 worth of stuff at Home Depot using Apple Pay. It declined the transaction but still double charged me. I guess Home Depots NFC readers don't work with Apple Pay. Called BofA and they said the processing charges should go away and put the money back into my account.

Yes it does, and they admitted it was their mistake and had nothing to do with Apple. Did you read the update?

Again, as the monkey in the middle, it is up to Apple to insure that everything is set up properly before launch. That includes making sure that the client side of things is set up properly to receive the transaction properly. Just because Bank of America says it was on their side, does not mean that Apple properly insured that all the pieces were properly in place.

When I had my business, even if something went wrong on my end, it was still because the company who set up the method of charging the customers credit cards made a mistake in the implementation. It was their job to make sure that all the pieces were in place and working properly throughout the whole chain before I ran anyone's card through the system.

But, in the end, even if it went wrong, I still had to refund the money if there was a double charge, because it ended up in my account regardless of the fact that it was an error in the software that processed the transaction (software written by the monkey in the middle to handle the transaction).
