So does that mean it was done as debit?

Nice to have someone post with actual first hand experience with the issue rather than all the crap speculation. I tip my hat to you! :)

Yes both times that I was charged twice I used it as debit. when I use it at RadioShack at as credit I did not get the double charge

Apple Pay Glitch Causes SOME Bank of America Customers to Be Charged Twice for Purchases

I've been using Apple Pay for three days with BofA with no issues. Quit with the sensationalized bullcrap.

Because it only happened on BOA and only a fraction of the customers make it an Apple fault? O dear Apple, you are always the black sheep of the family, the blame target of stupid people.

Don't count on it. Glitches that cause incorrect charges are serious whether the customer is being charged too much or too little, and both kinds of glitches do occur with new software. I think some B of A IT folks will be working overtime. Probably Apple, too.

I didn't say they weren't serious, I said they were not unexpected.

Can't Apple get ANYTHING right anymore?
I just installed Yosemite and as a result lost all internet access - guess I shouldn't take this any further :mad::mad:

Or you could not be afraid of your own shadow. What do you think the chances are of you being double charged and not being able to recoup? Sure, you might have the hassle of having to call customer service but come on! What's the risk really??!!

What's the risk of using physical credit cards instead of Apple Pay for a few more months?

Any new system of such complexity will have issues. Let the early adopters serve as beta testers and start using Apple Pay next year. That's a good policy for any new software or hardware unless one can afford to be a beta tester.

Currently trading near an all-time high

Apple Inc. (AAPL) -NasdaqGS
103.49

Day's Range: 102.60 - 104.11
52wk Range: 70.51 - 104.11

It cracks me up that so many people are unable to understand a simple sentence.

And I know you aren't secretly rooting for the Kansas City Royals.... how?

So, let me get this straight: Apple, the most valuable publicly traded company in the world, who stands to lose billions with even the slightest hiccup, decides not to properly test Apple Pay before releasing it into the wild? Ok, then.

it's not just any gate...it's APPLE-GATE! the worst gate ever!

nah.. applegate is awesome ;)

It's really not that serious, and my cards still work perfectly fine. Once it's working properly, then I'll give it a go.

I fully understand that these things will happen. And this rollout is more complex than a simple iPhone update or an update to iOS. However, these glitches seem to be piling up for Apple lately. I am 100% confident will get this right and :apple:Pay will be a trusted service. It just sucks because you know the media is going to make this out to be a huge ordeal that is going to bring about the end of the world.

WTF????

Oh and look up in the thread. B of A are putting in a software fix

BofA putting in a fix doesn't mean they caused the problem. Fixing incoming data from incompetent vendors is a routine occurrence.

No. Bank of America, a huge multinational banking and financial services company stands to lose billions for not properly testing. Did you read the article?
