If you were a software engineer you'd know that no complex software is 100% bug free. Never.

Well, I *am* a software engineer, and I'm tired of the old "software-is-complex-it's-never-bug-free" excuse. We all know software is complex. But it's not a get-out-of-jail-free card, you execute honest due-diligence in testing, take responsibility for your bugs, notify your customers about the serious ones (like, ones that involve people's money), and correct them in a timely manner.

Already?! My plan to stick with iOS 7 and avoid the new features for now seems to be working out.

Apple pay doesn't work on my 5S running iOS 8. You do realize you have to have the hardware with NFC as well, don't you?

Great start. This is one of the few times Im glad the americans are guinea-pigging

It IS a great start, and I'm glad as an American, I'm able to use it.

Leave it to the media and anti-Apple trolls to blow something out of proportion that isn't.

You can hide from your Ebola scare as well, while I'll be walking around town today with no worries.

Apple Pay Glitch Causes SOME Bank of America Customers to Be Charged Twice for Purchases

I've been using Apple Pay for three days with BofA with no issues. Quit with the sensationalized bullcrap.

Besides, it is almost certainly a problem on BofA's side. They're the worst at EVERYTHING.

Exactly. Couldn't possibly be Apple. And what would BofA know about implementing credit card systems?

Tim needs to tell BofA: "You're processing it wrong."

I take it you're being sarcastic. If so, why no double pay issues with other banks??

Do all the Android issues disuade you from buying an Android device too? There have been hundreds in the past year.

Google doesn't repeat marketing phrases like "it just works" and "seamless integration of hardware and software" year after year

Apple is turning into a parody of itself

Been using Google Wallet for 2 years now. All my cards work with Wallet, NONE of them work with Applepay

Now that they know about the issue, the timely manner clock has started.

And your single myopic experience negates the thousands of people having issues...?

No. The article title is worded to imply that this issue is affecting bank of america customers. I posted to state that my experience as a BofA customer has been different. So climb down off your little internet high horse and relax.

Oh man all the rampant Android fanboys and ignorance in this thread...this is 100% on Bank of America's part, they are the only bank having this issue and they already said they are issuing a fix on the bank side of Apple Pay by Wednesday(today)

Weird, because every single year Apple users and customers have the highest customer satisfaction every single year, it sure does just work better and more consistently then really anything else

So if someone runs into the back of your car, it's your fault, because no other car was run into.

Great logic. You are truly genius.

So you think it's a hardware issue?

Question: How many hardware engineers does it take to fix a hardware problem?
Answer: None. It's a software problem.

Hmm ...

OK. Question: How many software engineers does it take to fix a software problem?
Answer: None. It's a hardware problem.

And you know Apple didn't do this...how?

"Leave Apple aloooooone (uncontrollable weeping)....."

How focking dare anyone out there make fun of Apple after all it has been through!

Apple lost its aunt, Apple went through a divorce. Apple had two fockin kids.

Apple's husband turned out to be a user, a cheater, and now Apple's going through a custody battle. All you people care about is….. readers and making money off of Apple!

APPLE’S A HUMAN! (ah! ooh!) What you don’t realize is that Apple is making you all this money and all you do is write a bunch of crap about it!

LEAVE APPLE ALLLLOOOOONNEE!

I wonder if this is related to why I received 2 email messages from Bank of America letting me know that I added my card to Apple Pay. I haven't tried using it yet as I haven't been in a store yet that uses NFC. But, I just removed my card from Passbook and re-added it again, just to be sure that I didn't do anything wrong the first time. And, I still received 2 emails from B of A.

Going to sit this one out until the fix is in place.
