Josh396 said:His offensive statistics may not have sucked for a second baseman but his fielding percentage was horrible compared to others at the same position.
IJ Reilly said:I was thinking Jose Canseco.![]()
zach said:yeah, but Canseco always played the outfield, he was doomed from the start. i mentioned Knobbie because he made the same move: from second to left field, with totally disastrous results.
cycocelica said:Perfect. The look on the BoSox will be great
Thank you.
IJ Reilly said:Dave Roberts wasn't so shabby either. Saw him steal four bases in one game.
saabmp3 said:The sox are only sending one starter and Pap to pitch. Remember, this is spring training. Look at the standings, the sox, yanks, chisox, etc are all WELL UNDER 500. Then you have the traditionally "bad" teams and they're all excelling. There's a reason for that.
Sox fans and (informed) Yankee's fans can still be friends for a couple more weeks.

PS. I just looked and Pena hit his first shot in his uniform, but then again, so did Bernie.
MacNut said:Any final thoughts before the season starts on Monday, The American League looks strong this year and I don't see one team running away with it as a lot of teams are fairly even. How I see it Yankees in First in AL East White Sox in Central and Angels in the West. Wild Card is up for grabs with Toronto Minnesota Boston Cleveland and Oakland all contenders.

OK, I'll play.MacNut said:lemme hear your picks then![]()
MacNut said:Wow thats a stretch, First off I don't see Toronto taking that many away from the Yanks or Sox as they play both teams I think 40 times this season, The AL East will beat the hell out of each other but I don't think the Blue Jays will make it to the final bell.
The Mets I can see taking the Braves if health issues don't get in the way, but I cant see them beating the Cards in the playoffs. As for the Giants, it all hinges on Bonds' health if he goes down for any amount of time the Giants are done, I don't see the Giants beating the Cards so I predict Yankees Cardinals World Series.![]()
Sayhey said:I take that it's "Yankees over Cardinals" right? Have we any other players out there who wish to risk being held up to ridicule in October? IJ, aloofman, anyone?
I am unsure about the Mets this year, on paper they should win the east but in reality they always find a way to screw it up.IJ Reilly said:I wouldn't make any major changes to MacNut's predictions, except I'd go with the Braves over the Mets, and I wouldn't commit to anything in the playoffs.
Sayhey said:World Series
Giants win over Yankees
Koodauw said:What a homer pick. I'm not gonna run the whole divisions, but I think Milwaukee will finish better than Houston, and Cleveland will beat out the BoSux for the wildcard.
I could care less who wins the NL east as long as the team isn't the 82-80 Padres of last year.
