Why are mail and whatsapp using up so much battery?
I don't even write mails and the client is fetching every 30 minutes from 2 accounts.
While writing this the battery dropped from 74 to 72 percent.
My usage is pretty light, I am checking the phone every 15 minutes for messages and every time I use it it drops dramatically.
I get approximately 2-3 hours of screen time out of this phone. This is not enough !

My iPhone 6 Plus is performing just like yours! I think what is draining is that I restored from a backup instead of from a new device so I will do that tonight after talking to Apple Support (that's what they told me).

I did that. Twice. Even exchanged the phone for a new one
When 8.1 launches tomorrow I will try a fresh restore

And it didn't solve the problem? Did they run a diagnostics?

No it didn't , the genius ran diagnostics , said that it seems like it's draining too much, but couldn't find the problem. 67% now, thats 6% in 15 Minutes

I feel awful for you buddy...I'll try to restore mine today/tomorrow and I'll check back in...You should also try to update the iOS 8.1 tomorrow and if you have lots of apps on then delete them.

Lol, I was surprised, too. It just depends on the usage. I wasn't constantly on my phone. Picked it up for a few minutes of texting, Facebook, and YouTube here and there. And that's what I ended up getting. Brightness is at about 40%. Auto brightness off. It's a good battery. Really is.

The battery lifetime is like the battery lifetime of the iPad :D

So glad I returned the 6 for the 6 Plus. Battery life much improved. I was at an event for 9+ hours of 60fps video, surfing the net, Facebook, messaging, misc and was at 47%? at the end of it. It was on LTE and searching for Wifi all day I suppose because I didn't shut it off. Wasn't the heaviest of uses but it was 'average use' for that day. Others there had portable chargers. It was nice to not have to worry. The extra boost with the Plus made a big difference to me with testing both.

Either way my 5 would've been toast 3-4 times over.
I was shopping for portable chargers but put that on the back burner. Might get a small cheap one for emergencies.

here from the netherlands..quite satisfied with the result of my battery iphone 6:):)

Reading through this hurts my brain trying to figure out if peoples results are from a 6 or 6+. Is it an amazing 6, or a poor running 6+?? Please people, for clarity sake, put down what you are using.

Do you guys think usage is pretty good considering mostly safari, music and games for iPhone 6 Plus?

Im getting ridiculously good usage times, but its seems too good to be true. I'm pretty sure its measuring it incorrectly.

Battery life has always between Weakness of phones, it's my second largest complaint. I will say that my 6 is the best of all the iPhones I've used, even with android I always have to change out the battery.

The bottom line - if you're actively using your phone all day long, you won't get a full day use. If you use it off and on all day (or in my case text off and on while at work), it will generally last until I go to bed.

The people getting amazing battery life aren't on the phone all day, the people (generally) getting bad battery life are actively using the phone.
