BBM on iPhone! Real?

God I hated that phone. It froze once a day and eventually would not restore. Then I finally saw the light and bought an iPhone.
 
Update: it works!

He gave the .ipa file to a mod on Modmyi and he's saying the basic features work (on that thread). So I'm guessing yes, this works.

I want to thank UnitediP4 for sharing our success of testing our MOTTIX app Iphone to BBM communication. I want to make more clear what our app do, is not bbm on iphone, is a chat that enable iphone, ipad and ipod to communicate directly with bbm. The apple user will invite the bbm friend and they can start messaging to each other.
Our test today was to establish an invitation, several people try our app and invite a bbm friend by entering their pin on there iphone/ipad and the bbm friend receive the invitation and accepted. No messages were exchange or other features were available on this test. I think that in the next 4 to 6 weeks we may have a light version with some features.
The service will be limited and we will try to sell it on itunes, we hold patents on our applications and we are not violating any user agreement of APPLE or RIM. More test will be done and random people will be chosen as the development requires.

No, I don't think so. Can I have a link to any one of them which works, i.e, you can add Blackberry users using their BBM pins or they can add you on your iPhone with a pin?

so how do you communicate with people who have a blackberry? do they need this program installed as well?

Can you tell me at least 1 that communicate directly with bbm? Blackberry don't need to download anything, so please if they are hundreds mention 1 at least, thanks.

Blackberry users don't need to download anything, only the iphone/ipad users need to have it and they can invite the blackberry friend.
 
I'm really looking forward to it MOTTIX. If it works, I can finally dump my old BB curve, on craigslist or ebay of course :)
 
I really hope this thing works! If it does I'm going to buy it as soon as it hits the App Store!

well, if that's the case... then that's awesome news. however, i wonder if Apple would approve it?

I've never had or used a blackberry. So I have no clue what any allure to them would be.

But whats so great about this BBM? I mean, does it have features that you can't get on the iPhone by default or with an app?

And could you also do the messaging the same way people do texting?

Again, I'm merely asking for my own knowledge. Not to harass or downplay anyone or any technology.

in my eyes im more than certain that this is a scam,but i look forward to seeing how you're managing to create PINs and get them onto the blackberry 'database' for lack of a better word thus allowing you to send data through BIS, (that how i understood BBM to work anyway, someone more knowledgeable feel free to point out where i am wrong)
 
I've signed up but I'm very dubious about all of this. Why haven't any screenshots been posted showing the client in action?

I seem pretty skeptical also, but I did sign up and I hope it does work.
