I'm pretty impressed with Apple Music overall. I may be wrong on how it works on other competitors, but I like how I can pick and choose my own songs and go from there. Even obscure ones.

Pleased I'm at work and missing this. I cannot stand Zane Lowe.

See, this is why I feel good about this. Apple was willing to get someone that people feel strongly about. A lot of people love him, some people don't. But they didn't get someone who is corporate-y bland that no one has feelings about one way or another.

Apple are missing a huge trick here. You can't 'heart' or add any songs played on Beats 1 to your own library. Sometimes the tracks he plays are only available on iTunes and not on Apple Music, but other times they are available on Apple Music but you have to manually search. This seems like something so simple, and it's not working. What gives?

I want to casually listen to Beats 1 - which for the short time I've heard it is sounding really good - and collect some of the great tracks I am listening to.

EDIT: Only works for some songs, and sometimes gets stuck on songs so you heart ones you didn't mean to heart. Buggy!

it worked on one song playing on beats1 before. so it's definitely possible.
just doesn't work on all songs

What is this video about?! Can anybody teach her/him how to hold a gun ? If he/she shoots it would be skin off on her tiny fingers.

Wow, you're probably the only person who thinks that. Lowe is awesome. He's a bit excited right now but can you blame him?

I'm definitely not! But I appreciate why he's "on board" he does know his breakthrough music but I've never been able to stomach his Radio 1 show and so when I heard he'd been taken on I was a bit disappointed.

That said they could've brought on someone else and I'd have loved them and others would have hated. Swings and roundabouts really.

Come on Apple, featuring this on your homepage, inviting people to use it and then telling them they need to upgrade iTunes to a version that you've not yet released and linking to the current version that doesn't even work doesn't show the sort of attention to detail that people associate(d) with Apple.

Surely you could have coordinated things better - like have iTunes 12.2 available before you try telling people to download it?

Agreed, they made a mess. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7103621?start=0&tstart=0

i wish there was a button to add songs from the beats1 radio directly to a playlist for later relistening.

edit: nevermind.. it works on some songs

This is a feature it should have - and I thought it did before it went live, as there were options to add the Brian Eno track to My Music and to a playlist. Tried to add the Courtney Barnett track but couldn't. Not sure why its some and not others - rights?

I've posted quite a bit in various threads about how good Zane is, so good to hear some of the scepticism is going away pretty quickly and you guys are liking it so far - this is pretty typical, and good to have the big Zane Lowe hole filled again.

Really? I have had no luck so far. And it makes 0 sense, because I've manually verified at least 2 songs that are playable on Apple Music - even for offline playback - that I could not add via Beats 1. The same exact song.

Apple is clearly trying to mimic BBC Radio 1. It will be a good place to discovery new music but probably the average listener will revert to specific genre stations.
