Could you not just stream the radio from the internet using the TuneIn or other app? Beats1 is no different really.
Well Beats 1 is actually far different from TuneIN. With TuneIN you can only choose the genre rather than a specific artist or curator. By following a specific artist/curator it will narrow down the type of music choices you like hearing rather than just choosing POP, R&B or Rock. But yes, overall for just listening to pure radio they are the same.

I'm definitely not! But I appreciate why he's "on board" he does know his breakthrough music but I've never been able to stomach his Radio 1 show and so when I heard he'd been taken on I was a bit disappointed.

That said they could've brought on someone else and I'd have loved them and others would have hated. Swings and roundabouts really.

It´s also why they have more than 1 DJ ;)

Does anyone if I can create a custom playlist from Apple streaming music and play that when not in a wifi area? I want to be able to play music downloaded from Apple streaming music and beats1, and use it when I am let's say working in the yard, jogging, etc. without having to use my LTE service to stream it. Basically to use the songs offline, but still as a subscriber.

While I'm enjoying the music, it's very irritating to me that he keeps talking over so much of the songs. Is this normal in radio now? It's been years since I've listened to actual broadcasts lol.

I first thought it was great then I broke down the pricing. I don't think I buy more than a 100 songs a year.. So it looks like this isn't worth it to me...

But isn't the point that you can listen to a whole lot of tuff you might be interested in having a listen to, but wouldn't buy?

That's where the value of a streaming sub lies.

Yes, he knows that. But the poster he quoted was referencing his local radio stations, i.e. ones you can't control, and saying that Beats 1 is better and fresh, which you also can't control. However, the poster could have listened to many non-rock stations via TuneIn.

lol.. doesnt quite work as expected.. if you press the "heart" on a song, it will stay pressed on the next song too

edit: ah not everytime... i guess its a bit buggy?
I noticed that as well! Looks like we found our first bug?

this thing could do with a live feedback feature (like periscope) where people can heart tracks (and the hearts appear on screen).

Actually that might be a bit much....
