Agreed! I have ran so miles with them and not once have I needed to fix them or have had them fallen out. Unfortunately they can’t hold a charge anymore than a day.
They hook inside the middle fold of your ear and create a slight upwards pressure against that fold which locks the bud in your ear securely. as someone who has had many issues with buds falling out this has fixed the issue entirely for me in the past and allowed them to be used with total security and good fit (and comfort) for even aggressive sports. this is basically an airpod pro for sports and people who have fit issues.
This style has existed forever and I hate them. Beats over ear hook are fantastic for running and working out. Without any anchor to the rest of the ear these in ear types don’t work at all for me - that little plastic tip does nothing. Hopefully the over the ear beats models dont get cancelled.

AirPods 3 headed back.. ordered these in Black for a friday delivery
Liked the AP3 but the lack of Noise cancellation was a deal breaker. Yes, I knew when I ordered them they lacked ANC, but I thought it worth a shot with the better "fit"

In fact, this is why I told people to NOT get the AirPods 3 until they look at the Beats Fit Pro first. And I'm sure that the likes of Comply Foam will within a month have their own memory foam ear tips specifically for the Beats Fit Pro.
Sounds like you need to clean the contacts with a q tip and a bit of isopropyl alcohol. I have to do this with my pro and no pro AirPods every couple of weeks or the same thing happens.
… why do you take the case running with you? Even with transparency activated I get three to four hours on average with my Pro’s. How far are you running that you need to take the case?
Max volume and overall sounds review please. I love the AirPods Pro, but wish it was louder, and would love them to sound slightly better.
Notorious is not the same as good.
most reviews today said they sound the same or better than AirPods Pro with the same clear mids and highs, but slightly better bass (but NOT overwhelming) but several reviews do say they continue to fall short a bit on maximum volume just like the AirPods Pro.
no this is a unique to the powerbeats pro and the case thing, it happens to almost everyone with the headphones over enough time and there is no real cure. basically there are plastic tabs that align the large hooks at an angle to contact the metal charging points. overtime they subtly deform and contact becomes hit or miss. you can improve the likelihood of contact by wetting (or licking) the metal touch points on the powerbeats pro so that the liquid creates a thin transfer path for power but i still find while that will get them to charge up, if i throw the case in a bag or luggage and travel with it the movement of the case causes the now charged powerbeats pro to lose contact again and start burning through battery and so a lot of the time you find one or both with a charge... then you are spitting on it again (i must be nuts) and waiting for a 5 minute quick charge so you can use them before your next workout. they have NEVER reliably fixed this design over the 2+ year life of the device, buy one today and a few months down the line you'll have the same issue from time to time too.
Apple treats Beats as sub brand. Just went into their web page and there is no mention about the earphones on the main page, but the AirPods are there. To see the Beats line it is necessary to click accessories on top of the page, then Headphones and Speakers and then you get to see AirPods and Beats products.

Powerbeats Pro: old (2+ years) very secure (they aren't falling off... ever) over the ear design. People like the sound but it is very bass heavy, a bit too much (muddy on the mids and highs) if you ask me but fun for workouts. There is NO ANC so in loud environments it isn't nearly as good as the newer headphones and with NO transparency mode when you go running it can be hard to hear your environment for safety. It does have auto-switching with Apple devices but lacks AirPod Pro like features (ANC, Transparency, Dolby Atmos, Spatial Audio, Head Tracking, Adaptive EQ etc.) The case is huge and due to defects in the inherent design of the case it is common for one or both hooks to not charge / loose a charge while in the case. This happens to almost EVERYONE with this after a few months of use and you get used to checking if it is charging / charged and often having to play with it to quick charge it right before a workout or listening session. Way too much money for what this offers in late 2021 (most expensive of all of these and has the least features of all of them and is the oldest device by far!). This device IMHO is going to get discontinued soon in favor of the Fit Pro, or it will need a new version (I doubt it will get one.)
Studio Buds: really awesome tiny ear buds that sound great, very similar to AirPods Pro. They fit really well, even for me where AirPods and AirPods Pro fall out, mainly because they are so light and small there is less weight to pull them from your ears. I can finally run with these although from time to time they start to loosen (but not fall out) which hurts the sound quality and feels weird so I have to push them back in some more. It comes with ANC that is good but not as good as the AirPods Pro. It comes with a Transparency mode that is horrible and almost useless unlike the near magically transparency mode of AirPods Pro. They don't use Apple chips so you lose ALL the nice features of the AirPods Pro and Powerbeats and Fit Pro... no automatic pause when you remove one, no autoswitching between your Apple devices, no dolby atmos, no spacial audio, etc. They commonly sell on sale for $129 and at that price they are amazing, good fitting ANC buds, with great sound... but not the cool Apple specific features.
Fit Pro: basically the design of the already great Studio Buds with an extra internal ear hook that presses against the inside fold of your ear to make these totally secure during aggressive workouts and sports. Should be zero need to adjust unlike the Studio Buds. It also has further improved sound many say is superior to AirPods Pro, or at least as good. ANC is now the equal of the AirPods Pro and transparency is claimed to be the same or almost as good as AirPods Pro (unlike the Studio Buds where Transparency was a joke). You gain back ALL of the Apple features Studio Buds lacked and get Dolby Atmos, spatial audio, switching, automatic pause etc. I think Beats will drop the Powerbeats Pro line in favor of this once this is widely available world wide which may not but until spring 2022.
FWIW the audio quality of Beats was a lot worse before Apple bought them.
The Beats Fit Pro are the hero product on the home page of the Beats website right now. The Beats Studio Buds are directly under them on the home page.
UK, Australia, Canada etc never get Beats products at the same time as the US.
Why is that the case? Apple can launch iPhones and Apple Watches in multiple countries at same time.
