Say what you will about Kim K but pleasant skin toned earbuds like that are a neat idea.
Nah it's collaboration of a social media (Kim) or musician or fashionista/o (Thom Browne + Samsung) always works.

Apple should be doing collaborations for their iPhone, AirPods Pro, and Apple Watch similar to Thom Browne + Samsung has.

The early 80s called, they want their colors back.

I'm so exhausted by "designers" putting out drab color after drab color in everything from clothes, to vehicles, to everything else. The world has been depressed enough for the past two years, bring back fun, lively colors and help cheer the place up.
Yellow, brown and orange from the late 70s, also known as the 70s stripe, and definitely not the 80s? Nah. These aren’t that.

The colors of these would best be described as “nude”… and nude colored accessories, shoes, stockings… they sell extremely well amongst women.

Frankly, it’s brilliant.

Two problems with this:
1. It’s Kim K. Stop giving her money for nothing.
2. She’s not even an athlete or a musician, so this “collaboration” didn’t make a whole lot of sense for the product.

Evidently none of that mattered… god I hate people and capitalism sometimes.

Having skin-toned earbuds is important for a lot of people who already have limited options as it is. Get over yourself and whatever agenda you have.

Macrumors comments are more and more reminiscent of 4chan's /b/ a decade ago
I don’t even know what this comment means. It’s important for people to have skin toned earbuds? No one has ever made a earbud in my skin tone and after Kardashians headphones still has not. I have no options for that…I just don’t understand the weird comment about agenda.

For those who don’t understand your cryptic dog whistling…can you give us some examples of 4chan so we know what on earth you are going on about?

Nah. She’s just a multi billionaire with one business in Skims worth nearly 4 and another rebranded one now named Skkn that she sold 20% of to Coty a few years back for 200 mil making that yet another billion dollar enterprise. So yeah, these totally don’t make any sense given what those industries are targeting. No sense at all.

Most the complaints about Kim are off base. The real reason she is a villain is that she broke Kanye’s heart for …Pete Davidson? That’s a generational crime.

Lots of bad people are great business owners. Kim has parlayed a famous parent, a famous husband, a sex tape, and a reality TV show into being a billionaire with her hand in tons of businesses. Whatever else you can you say that woman is savvy as can be and a great brand ambassador. People love her. So if she says these are the hip colors for the season - they probably are.

Did these sell out because people are starved for color options or because of the association with Kim K? I suppose both could be valid reasons.

I don’t think most people doubt her ability to sell. That’s been proven time and time again. It’s just weird to me that Apple/Beats couldn’t come up with shades of tan on their own years ago. And keep all the profits for themselves. Or give a cut to charity instead of some celebrity’s evil empire.

I know we are all sick of MR members trotting out Steve’s corpse to make a point. But I did always think he was right in thinking if the product was so good it would fill a niche people didn’t even know they wanted or needed, it would sell. So I don’t really know what he would think of this deal or what he’d have done with a brand like Beats, had he lived to these crazy times.

Who knows? He might have loved all of this. He was indeed eccentric and I have no way of knowing what he would have thought, but I sometimes like to wonder.

I just think it’s a shame our most insanely popular public figures are so problematic. In fact, they seem more successful the more problematic they are. As I said yesterday, I have no issue with Kim’s sex tape or her merchandising empire, except for when she enriches it by appropriating other people’s races, cultures, and in the case of Marilyn, their legacies. Often in the most crass way. And completely apathetic and unapologetic to the people whom she offends and exploits. But she’s not going to stop because it brings her the money so why would she stop?

I don’t much care about this deal except I think it’s absurd Apple, who is always so desperate to shake down customers for every last penny that they remove features and accessories, allowed a collaboration with a polarizing public figure just to release COLORS. Ordinary earth tones. They can’t come up with this on their own and keep ALL the money? SMH.

I think I’d rather have a hefty dose of Anthrax than ever be associated with these products. Shame on you all for buying them too and contributing to that whoppers wealth

Come on people, it’s not like they haven’t teamed up with celebrities on colors before. Case in point, the MacBook Air Yeezy (Silver). He even promoted it at his album release.

Am I the only one that first glanced at the picture of the headphones and saw something 💩 other than headphones? 😂

Seriously though that’s a smart move by Apple to get a celebrity name endorsement. Most people aren’t going to buy them but it’s guaranteed sales for whoever follows the celebrity.

IDK, my wife thought it was neat that they are skin toned/don't stand out when wearing. Walked into Apple SoHo around noon today and picked up a pair, no problem. The employee I spoke to didn't even know they had them.

Apple's special-edition Beats Fit Pro colors, designed in collaboration with Kim Kardashian, have sold out on Apple's online stores in the U.S. and Canada within hours after launching.

beats-fit-pro-family-kim.jpg

All three colors – Moon, Dune, and Earth – have shown as no longer available for online orders since Tuesday afternoon, with no date given for when they will be available again for purchase. Amazon US though does seem to have stock remaining. Over in the U.K., only the Earth color is available to order from Apple online, while all color options remain available in Germany, France, and Japan.

For those eager to get hold of the "Kim K" special edition Beats in person, the new colors will become available at select Apple Store locations starting Wednesday, including The Grove, Tower Theatre, and Third Street Promenade in the Los Angeles area, Fifth Avenue and SoHo in New York City, Aventura in Miami, Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Regent Street in London, Champs-Élysées in Paris, and Kurfürstendamm in Berlin.

There are no changes to the $199.99 "Kim K" edition Beats Fit Pro beyond the new color options. The standard color options remain available, including Beats Black, Beats White, Stone Purple, and Sage Gray.

Launched in November 2021, the Beats Fit Pro are ideal for athletes, with flexible wingtips providing a more secure fit in the ear. The wireless earbuds have similar features as AirPods Pro, including silicone ear tips, active noise cancellation with "Transparency" mode, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, an H1 chip for one-tap pairing and automatic switching between Apple devices, and hands-free "Hey Siri" support.
