Out front now at my local Apple store and no line. I will know in a few minutes if they have any.
I'm having the same problem, and I think someone else has too. I'm talking to the Beats support twitter account about it, will report back when I've got a response. Can't redeem the three month Apple Music code as the box greys out when you state it's the Beats X you are registering.
don't suppose you can get 3 months free when you already have apple music?
Code states "Promotion is in ADDITION to any current promotion you are receiving".
Glad to hear it's not just me. Been on chat with Apple for half an hour trying to sort it out.
How's that work for family accounts as well?Code states "Promotion is in ADDITION to any current promotion you are receiving".

The way this works is that you register the earphones on the Beats website, and they then email you a code to redeem through Apple for the Apple Music (individual subscription). It's three extra months even if you're on a free trial.Well that could mean in my mind if you CURRENTLY are on the free Apple Music promotion one gets an extended three months.
I already got a discount on the Beats X for having insurance with my current company, I have no idea why but another three months of free Apple Music would ice this cake.
But what if your NOT on a free trial and just have a subscription, will you just get 3 months free? The way this works is that you register the earphones on the Beats website, and they then email you a code to redeem through Apple for the Apple Music (individual subscription). Or it would be, if we could access it!
Yep! I assume it'll just carry your subscription on for three months without you having to pay for it.But what if your NOT on a free trial and just have a subscription, will you just get 3 months free?
Per Apple. The Beats X are not sweat resistant nor sweat proof. Would any of you exercise with these (run) and be concerned? If not, why not ?
I was thinking that sweat would go into the earpiece itself and cause a problem? My first concern would be that they arent said to be water/sweat proof
Second, is that lightning port on the headphones. Maybe you could get away with splashes of water but you start getting sweat and salt inside that port and I bet they're toast.
Do you like the PW3's?Got them just now and they're going back. The way the cords look are ridiculous. Much too long in the part from the thick neckband to the buds. I have the PowerBeats3 as well and they fit much better.
Sound is on par with the PowerBeats3. better than the AirPods.
Do you like the PW3's?
Been hearing horror stories on this site in terms of the build quality etc. Hope it's unfounded. Sound quality etc?Yes. They're excellent. And the little clip in the back makes the cables much easier to deal with. I'm keeping the PW3s and AirPods. Will probably end up using the PW3s more though. Better noise isolation and there are volume/track controls.

My quick thoughts. I've used the powerbeats 2, AirPods, powerbeats 3, and now the beats x.
- the Apple Music 3 month free seems to be in the form of an iTunes credit so I think technically u can use it on any iTunes Store purchase. That's how it worked when I biught my PB3s. Just gave me a $29.97 credit to the app/iTunes Store.
- powerbeats 3 sound is much better vs the 2 imo but the build quality seems cheaper. Cheap plastic feeling vs the 2
- AirPods are just too loose in my ear and too much to keep track of (3 devices). Loose and slippery feel to the case as well. No wires are awesome though
- beats x sound similar to the PB3 and better than the AirPods imo. Better bass (I listen to mostly metal FYI). The cords do seem really long but doesn't bother me. Wish u could shorten it.
Overall I think the beats x will be a keeper. Best compromise out of all 3..the pros imo are best price, lighting charging. Not afraid to lose them, and I love how the magnets that keep them around my neck.
What comply tips?If you're still referring to the PW3s, I think build quality is superb. I also got some Comply foam tips and they're pretty comfortable now. I don't listen to music when I workout or do sports though so I don't have any issues with sweat etc.

Yeah, these are good thoughts. The cord bothers me enough to return the Beats X. The problem is not the neckband. IT's the part from the neckband to the buds. They stick out like crazy. And since these use a different mechanism than the Powerbeats3 to secure themselves to your ear, the cable ends up looking like it sticks out from your ears, too. I'm not that picky when it comes to earphone aesthetics, but these are just ridiculous (in my opinion).
