Too late, tired of waiting so I bought the Bose Soundsport Wireless the other day. I don't think I will be sorry not waiting any longer.

Another Apple fail with availability just like the Airpods.

I always regret Bose headphone purchases* .... I think you'll be sorry. Being able to charge via lightning is HUGE, and being able to take advantage of the pairing and battery saving features of the W1 is HUGE x 2. I think they'll be the best wireless noise isolating earbuds on the market.

I am confused though... you waited the 2 month delay then gave up at the finish line? Seems if you made it 3 months you could wait another 1-22 more days, hehe

(*I do like the Bose full size QC35, but they're just really big to travel with - but aside from that their earbuds are never comfortable)

We sure we are near the finish line? I see another fiasco trying to acquire them like folks still are with the Air Pods thinking that even after they were released.

Bose all day over Beats for sound quality, I have been through enough of both to not have any reservations about saying that.

BT range, Connectivity, charging and pairing MIGHT indeed be a concern for some folks but I am having any problems so far using them so no issue personally.

Nonetheless the Airpods are out, they don't cut the mustard for sound quality and playback volume. The novelty of no wires lost out for me compared to those things.

And the Bose are very very comfortable and I cannot emphasize that more although one looks like Frankenstein with bolts protruding. :)

I don't think there's going to be any to-do about the release of Beats X. There's one 3 page forum here about them. Not the 3 dozen threads like before Air Pods.

I disagree partially about Bose. Bose makes great noise cancelling over the ear headphones, but their earbuds are painful and garbage.

You're absolutely right about Airpods and their limitations, I can't stand them for anything except quiet room, or phone call use. Car\plane\train they're useless.

Our guess is they now have them in warehouse, and just waiting for the launch. (or not)

I was at Target yesterday, and they had updated their Beats display. There product descriptions now include Beatsx, and there was an (empty) display slot both white and black models @ $149. So my very uninformed opinion would be they'll launch this week.

I was surprised to see this, and would've bought them had they been in the store.

A display is encouraging however many retailers have been in the "coming soon" mode now for quite awhile so it is just another shoulder shrug or eye roll on my end.

I got a false instock notice from bestbuy's website last night at 2:00am in the morning. Currently their "black" beatsx has "check stores" and the "white" or not avaialble yet.

So there is definitely some activity stirring.

I'll pick some up this week then. :)
[doublepost=1486315810][/doublepost]Then we can all come back here and complain about the lack of quality control and how we are going to return them. :p

I'm getting desperate for them.
I hope I can get them on launch and there is no backlog cuz I'm tired of being tethered.
I had the new PowerBeats and did not like them and had to return them.
I didn't like how the cord hugged my face so I am hoping these will work out.
Sooooooo waiting......

Chill dude, they'll be available on Tuesday. :p

I am still trying to decide between the beats and airpods. I am not as "desperate" as some of you here to get my hands on either. They are just headphones. For most, winter will last another month. So it is not like most of you will be able to workout outdoors till it warms up anyhow. In the meantime, I been using my wired ones that came in the box just fine. No rush for me.

I had an employee throw the SKUs into their system the other day, nothing. Not even at warehouses so maybe but I tend to doubt it unless their system is not up to snuff with inventory.

I have had the Bose Soundsport for 3 months and love them. They don't use the suction cup style so chewing with then on is tolerable. They are also somewhat open like the Apple earpods so I can still be aware of my surroundings. Also the lime and grey are sharp looking.

I want I want I want... lost the earbuds to my senheiser momentums so now using the smaller size buds which are crap.

I also have Pxc-550s but hate wearing full headphones on my daily commute.

Lucky I work 2 mins from an Apple Store so will race up as soon as they're available!

I'm hoping the sound quality is similar to the senheisers. I'm switching from MM30i.

We fixed the false positive (was nice to get the info though).
We take in account the online availability now, even for pickup.
Sorry for the false positive, and you should be notified again when they really get on sale.

Yeah it always makes me laugh that people will spend $800-1100 on a top of the line phone then use the cheap garbage earbuds that come with it. You can literally spend $40 on a pair of Sennheiser C300 noise isolating earbuds and have sound that's 100x better than Apple's crap they put in the box.

That's because you care more about audio than most people. Most people will take the free option that look good and sound good enough for their needs. If you gave them better earbuds, they might not even like the look or, worse, might not even hear a difference.
