Nizlopi is so damn cool, I'd love to see him/them live.
I recommend it if you get the change. I'd only heard the JCB song, but I was really stunned by the bass player playing complex funky basses and beatboxing over the top. God knows how he does it.

Saw the Watson Twins open up for Matt Costa last night at Slim's in SF. Wow. Just wow.

I am so glad that Matt Costa is amazing live, that would have been a huge let down if he/they weren't. :p Performed practically the whole "Songs We Sing" album and a few other singles (like "Lullaby"). Makes me all that much more bummed I missed him the last time he was around...

Last week I saw The View in a really tiny club. They were fantastic and what's more they are only 18!

Caught Bitter Sweet the other week ... very sweet and so hot! Very Supreme Beings of Leisure. Apparently it was their first time out of L.A. They are probably going to add a lot to the trip-hop community (no, it's not dead).

Also caught band from New Orleans, but I can't remember their name. drum kit and a keyboard ... the keyboardist had an amazing voice! Very nice people.

I might be catching Mad Happy tonight ... we shall see.

Oh I just saw Matt Costa live a few weeks ago at the Del Mar Racetrack. The concert was free right after the last race and he played for like an hour and a half. The best was when he went into playing the instrumental Anji (original by Simon and Garfunkel).

Good turn out but nothing can compare to seeing him at the CD release in Lou's Records' parking lot back in March with only about 50 people there.

not recently

not recently but about a year ago I went to leeds festival and saw

iron maiden
my chemical romance
nofx
alkaline trio
maralyn(spelling?) manson

and some other smaller bands

Muse in Montreal, July 31 2006

I must say I was impressed that the songs were faithful to the studio version even if there are only 3 members on stage. For those who know Muse, you know that it sounds like 5+ persons.

In the last year I've seen:

Coldplay @ Smirnoff Music Center
U2 @ American Airlines Center
David Gray @ Nokia
Paul Simon @ Nokia
Matisyahu and Flaming Lips @ Nokia (Tonight!!!)

I can hardly contain my self about seeing the Flaming Lips tonight.

Went to see Tool last night up in Kansas City. Show was frickin' nuts.

Just saw Roger Waters in Boston playing DSOTM in its entirety. Yes, it was gapless.

Sufjan Stevens played wednesday at Lakewood Theatre in Dallas... and I didn't go. I'm terribly bitter about it. It was probably the only chance I had to see him for a looong time.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS!!!
