I don't anticipate making it to any more shows this year, but it has been quite the musical year for me. I got to see:

Counting Crows
Goo Goo Dolls
Jars of Clay
Big Daddy Weave
Jim Brickman
John Mayer

Wow. There's a name I haven't heard in years. Haven't been keeping up w/ the Christian music scene, are they still putting out new albums? Good for them.

I've seen them probably 6 times in concert, although before the last show it had been probably 3 years. They aren't as good as I remember them being in my head. They are still putting out new albums, but, again, not as good as their older stuff. Their first album will always be their best.

You bastard!!!!!  Top two are my favourite bands!!!!

On Saturday night I went to a gig in Bristol. Rick Wakeman/Jon Anderson doing some new stuff and some of Yes' stuff. Great gig, but I had to leave half way through as I suddenly got the most crap headache half way through...

I saw Ladytron in San Francisco a few weeks ago, and will see them again in San Francisco this Saturday. Fantastic show. They played an unreleased track, a cover of Shocking Blue's "Send me a Postcard" -- very fun.

I usually only see one show a year or so. Last year I saw Fischerspooner, and I'd also love to see sniffies.

Bah...I was supposed to go to the OK Go show with my fiancée and one of our friends tonight here in San Francisco, but I'm not recovered from my pneumonia yet. So she recruited another friend to go and I get to sit home for the evening (again).

It wasn't so bad. :)

That's cool ... i'm glad you enjoyed them. Amy is quite the looker so i'm not sure i would object if it came down to it. :p

Built to Spill rocked the house!!! Damn that was a good show. A nice psychedelic (sound) ending to the show and to the Halloween craziness ... lots o' good costumes running around the theater. :D The Dirt Fishermen opened and set a nice mood. Lots of good music and lots of good friends ... :)

Check out Built to Spill if you haven't heard them before. It was my first real show, but I've seen them many a time at local outdoor events. Quite the sound they got there; i'm glad i finally caught a full concert. :)

peace.

Did you get to see him when he was touring as the trio? That would've pretty much been amazing.

He was meant to be an electric guitar player. His acoustic stuff... it's good. His electric stuff w/ the trio... awesome.

Nah, I don't think so. He did play a couple of songs from the Trio album, but I think it was with generic musicians, if I'm not mistaken. He was touring with Sheryl Crow. John played first, which I was happy about. It meant I got to leave early and beat all the traffic out of the parking lot! :)

Went to Atreyu/Every Time I Die/Chiodos last night at the Congress Theatre in Chicago. Going to the Rave tonight in Milwaukee to see the same tour.

Here's a picture of me and Helen, the lead singer of Ladytron, that was taken in San Francisco yesterday. They played a cool show at PacBell Stadium and after the show came out on the field to hang out with the few fans who had come for the show (the main event was a snowboarding sporting event, and most of the snowboarding fans weren't so much into Ladytron.)

Duff-Man says...when I was in Europe in September I went to a couple concerts - Nick Cave in Den Haag and Porcupine Tree in Pratteln (Basel). Both were great shows although the sound at the Porcupine Tree show could have been a bit better....oh yeah!

im anxious to hear modest mouses new album...johnny marr from the smiths is in the band now... hopefully they'll recover from that last album... they;re going on a limited tour right now, but im hoping they make a pit stop in my nick of the woods next year
