I'm going to see Imogen Heap tomorrow night at the Wiltern here in L.A. I'm SUPER EXCITED! :D

Cool! My daughter and her mother are going to the Seattle show (it's for her birthday ... she's turning 10)! :)

Should be a great show. Kid beyond will be fun to see as well ... his live looping is quite interesting.

Absolutely...I've lost track of the number of times I've seen them. They've lost a bit of the craziness and spontaneity over the years as they've gotten a larger catalog of songs and become more mainstream, but they're still one of the best tickets out there. I didn't feel that the banter was quite up to its usual standards this time around, but everybody's entitled to an off night now and then. :)

I could see that, I saw them way back in 1996 at Riverfest in Brockville. I was eleven, it was a show I'll never forget. They were so much fun. Improvising songs, and just doing a tonne of different things to get the crowd as involved as they could be.

I was at that show, too! It was my first time seeing a full concert of theirs, and I quite enjoyed it.

(I saw 'full concert' because I had tickets to their Peepshow stop in Berkeley, but ended up with food poisoning from dinner before the show. I only got to see about two songs. )

Glad you enjoyed the show. Sorry you missed out on most of the Peepshow...it was an excellent concert.

Totally agreed on that count. And the mix was waaaay off for his set, at least from my seat (first row of the balcony, a little off to the right), which didn't help at all.

It wasn't just your seat...we were 10th row on the floor a bit left of center.

Yes, those were the best days...I first got into them sometime between Maybe You Should Drive and Born On A Pirate Ship, so probably early '95. They've definitely reined it in a bit over the years, but then again, they're getting older. :D Still a tremendous show though.

I went to see TOOL last night!
My mate called me and said he had 2 free tickets and was on his way to get me!

They get better and better!!!

Going to see George Michael at the NEC in Birmingham tomorrow and then Kylie on 2nd Jan at Wembley!!!

and NO, they are not my choices.. the mrs wanted to go, so I have to tag along ;)

Just wanted to say Guns N' Roses rocked last night. Although Axl is the only remaining member, they had amazing guitar and drums. Sebastian Bach helped open who really knows how to work a crowd. I can't even imagine how intense these concerts must've been back in the 80's, if I understood the greatness of this music when I was 1 year old, I might have gone to some shows back then.

Saw the Rankin sisters yesterday. They were good - though I would have liked a bit less Christmas music. Mairi Rankin is an excellent fiddler, and very beautiful to boot.;)

My friend is obsessed with concerts, but I'm embarassed to say I haven't been to one in almost a year. I went to see Coldplay early last year, and it was easily the best concert I've ever been to (though, granted, I've not been to too many). They put on a pretty amazing show! The good news is they've just announced a new mini-tour...the bad news? It's in Latin America. Phooey. :(

I saw Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips, and Death Cab for Cutie at the Kuyahoga festival and got to meet Wayne from The Flaming Lips. I also saw The Raconteurs, The Strokes, The Mars Volta, The Stills, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Broken Social Scene. It's been quite a good last few months for concerts.

I just bought tix to see Bela Fleck and the Flecktones in March!

Ditto, except in April here in Australia (and in the same week as Dave Matthews Band and the Red Hot Chili Peppers!)

This year I got to see some great Australian bands like the John Butler Trio and Eskimo Joe, as well as Bernard Fanning - all very impressive.

Oh, and Ben Folds playing with the Queensland Orchestra too

:D

I'm going to see Robert Plant tonight at Kidderminster Town Hall.

It's a charity gig to raise cash to pay for medical treatment for one of his neighbours. I don't live too far from him and he often does local low key events, the last one I saw was in the village hall a mile or so from his farm, to raise money for the tsunami.

I'm not sure what to expect from him tonight, it's billed as "The Return of the Honeydrippers" but I don't expect Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck to play.

Last time he was supported by a local band who were all in their late teens or early twenties and played a selection of rock and roll classics from the likes of Elvis, Chuck Berry, The Beatles and Cliff Richard!!!

I went to El Gaitazo (the biggest gaita event, it's an annual thing) las saturday. Although I didn't want to go, but it was the first time I went out with my girlfriend's family, so I reluctantly tagged along. It was great seeing her so happy :D

Last REAL concert I went to? Apocalyptica, October 16th 2005, the most awesome concert ever!

Went to see Riders on the Storm last night at the Apollo in Manchester UK, awesome!!! I am a veteran of many concerts and Ian Astbury was reincarnate as Morrison. What can i say full of energy and tight ! A great concert and I feel sorry for a lot of the bands of today in comparison they are poor.

I am goint to see The Killers on the 26th, then the next night i am seeing My Chemical Romance at the same venue

Unfortunately I've skipped out on many good shows simply because I haven't had the energy to go. I don't even feel like going to a few upcoming shows with a some of my favorite bands. :(

Last night we had family night out to see Rufus Wainwright at Colston Hall, Bristol.

Rufus and his band were superb. Standouts being 'Beautiful Child' and 'Slideshow'. Oh, and his Judy Garland 'Get Happy' moment.

:)
