I just saw Lifehouse last week, and was unpleasantly surprised at just hw BAD they were.

All time best concert...Breaking Benjamin, Staind, and 3 Doors Down.

Also saw Carbon Leaf, Common Rotation, Good Charlotte, and I think that's all...

where did you see lifehouse at ? thats odd cause I have heard that they are pretty good live.

Last gig I went to see was Damien Rice about 9 days ago.

Before that, went to Leeds Festival this summer. Was really good, saw a shedload of well-known and unsigned bands (Patrick Wolf and Noisettes most notable highlights). 'Twas a shame to see how bad the Smashing Pumpkins have got - even trying to copy the Hendrix version of 'Star Spangled Banner' at one point

I think the best concert I ever saw was Muse a couple of years back. They were just impeccable!

This is in chronological order to the best of my ability

Lionel Richie
Pink Floyd
Madonna
Madonna
Meatloaf
Tracy Lawrence / Tracy Byrd
Hootie and the Blowfish - Most BORING concert EVER
Depeche Mode - Another boring, boring concert
Live
George Strait
Chris Ledoux
Kenny Chesney
Amy Grant and some other guy
Chris Ledoux
Reba McEntire
Elton John
Tim McGraw/Faith Hill/George Strait

Haven't been to a concert in probably 5 years.

i think the last show i went to was this past spring: dragonforce, he is legend, killswitch engage, and chimaira. chimaira was awful. everyone else was incredible. i was completely blown away by killswitch, particularly their vocalist. he was awesome live. and dragonforce... i don't even need to say anything about them.

i'm also going to see thursday soon, i'm real pumped about it. if i remember right this will be my fifth time.

I saw GnR last tour ... they ****ing sucked. That was a waste. Metallica was solid on the Black tour (and previous). Never seen the Crew, but i can imagine it would be painful for me to watch. Too sappy for me ...

Axle needs to get back into his electronic experimention.

I saw Guns N' Roses last December and can honestly say it's the best concert I have ever been to! Axl Rose was in top form--physically (his voice was fantastic; just like the old days), and mentally (he had the crowd going wild with his jokes and stage presence)--and the new songs will blow everyone away once he releases the new Guns N' Roses album.

Off the top of my head (this is certainly not all):

The Moody Blues
Simon and Garfunkel
Guster
CSN
CSNY
Ladysmith Black Mambazo
U2

Saw Jethro Tull last week and I must say it was insanely good. Quite possibly the best concert I've seen.

I'm seeing Neil Young tomorrow and Saturday, and I have high hopes (and a feeling) one of the two shows will take the top spot for best concert I've been to.

Umm... and yes, I am prepared to get beat up.

Dark stage of my life:
N'sync & BSB

Ray Charles, B.B. King, Chris Botti, PDQ Bach, Time for Three, Ben Folds...
More that I can't think of at the moment.

How was KsE? Im confused as to whether Howard Jones is still the frontman.
I think I like Blood Has Been Shed more recently rather that KsE.

I go to a ridiculous amounts of shows a month. Houston has a really good Indie music scene. Last one was the band that an ex is friends with Type 9.

Going to see Devotchka on halloween. That'll be a kick.

As for the rest.. far too many to count.

Best of the best: tough call.. either Peter Murphy or NIN

Bartelby: I've never seen Meat Beat Manifesto live, but always wanted to.. Do they put on a good show? (note to self: google for MBM live vid later) Subliminal Sandwich is one of my favorites.

Hmmmm, a good show?

Well 2 guys stood behind racks of equipment isn't too interesting. When they had a dancer they were good. Hugely entertaining. Then they switched to light shows and then projections.
Here's a shot from a gig in Dublin a couple of years back.

That's Jack Dangers on the right, all on his lonesome.

DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got back from a Relient K/Switchfoot concert!!!
IT WAS THE AMAZING!!!
Get the two best Christian bands and put them in a concert together, and you have one freakin' amazing mosh pit!!!

The Rolling Stones at Slane in August!

The gig of a lifetime and a perfect birthday present to myself!

Thank you, Mick, Keith, Charlie, Ronnie, and all the rest of the musicians on stage that night. Including Bassist, Darryl Jones, and Bobby Keys, among others in the brass section.

Damo

I got to see Wilco at wexner down in Columbus when they came around. Hopefully I'm going to Broken Social Scene up in Cleveland on Friday.

I haven't been to a concert in many years, but I was thinking of seeing Bright Eyes next week when they come to Providence or maybe Worcester. I love their music, but I'm not sure if it will be worth $25 (seems kind of expensive).

It's worth the price. Granted, that is if they play anything the crowd knows.

Saw Brand New on October 20th at the Congress Theatre.

I'll be seeing Circa Survive on November 24th at the Metro. I wish I was going to see Thursday on Wednesday there, but I don't have the money or the time.

I saw Shooter Jennings in Charlottesville the other week

it was the best damn show I have seen in a while, they start out their set like they have already been warming up for an hour and keep the intensity going through the whole show

saw the decemberists a week ago or so for their "The Long of It..." and "The Short of It..." tour which has been cancelled now. two days. they're awesome live and put up a good show. preferred the firs day of longer songs myself. and i hope that whomever is sick has a speedy recovery. really are a great band.

and then saw Coheed & Cambria not long after that. bad venue for them and their opening acts: Clutch and Fall of Troy, not that i like the latter in any event. just a bit too bass heavy and kick drum heavy ruined the show. shame.

On Saturday evening in Cincinnati, I saw The Swarthy Band, a way-cool indie band that just released its new CD: How They Looked to the Skies. Best song: "Mass Transit? She's Treating Me Well." :D
