My first concert ever was U2 (they put on a mind-blowing show, highly suggest seeing them) in September of '05, but the concerts I've been to lately are: Anti-Flag (awesome, very energetic) in March, The Police (again, amazing, it's The Police! and they can all still rock) in July, and I've got The Flaming Lips and Ben Harper in the span of a week in September. :D

I saw Genesis with their Turn it on again tour about a month ago in the Amsterdam Arena. Was a great concert. I had tickets for the field but we cut the line :)rolleyes:) at managed to get great spots within 20m of the stage.

last wednesday i saw Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park...I didnt get home until 4:30 in the morning, and I was up since 8 AM doing my army fitness test before the concert

Got back from Dream Theater a few hours ago. Me and my friend were sitting in our seats in the middle of the auditorium when this older gentleman walks up to us and asks if we would be willing to trade tickets because he has a hearing problem. He shows us where we would sit...first row...dead center. Needless to say we accepted the swap and enjoyed the greatest performance i've ever seen. Here's a few crappy pics I took with my phone...

Dead Meadow at the EchoPlex, 2 or 3 Sundays ago. They were awesome as usual.

A great band called Darker My Love opened, among others.

Holy crap. Good for you, that must have been an awesome experience.

I missed DMB at Nissan Pavilion this past weekend...I didn't even know there were playing here until last week. :(

Nice. I saw them a while back, but it was at a crappy venue (House of Blues, Orlando). Bet it was a good show.

Bitter Sweet kicked so much ass last night that I couldn't make it to work today. :p

I need to stop going out ... well, at least drinking so much.

Bumbershoot here I come! w00t! :D

So far this summer:

May 19th - Porcupine Tree
July 17th - The Police
August 13th - Dream Theater

It's been a good couple of months. :)

In the past 3 weeks I've been to Sounds of the Underground, Warped Tour, and Ozzfest. Needless to say, I've been wiped out...especially after coming home from Cedar Point yesterday.:p

Daft Punk was A.W.E.S.O.M.E.! Great light show, stunningly loud and clear PA, great arrangements on the songs. Sure, it could have been two random dudes off the street in motorcycle helmets, and sure they appropriated some key ideas from Kraftwerk, but damn! Into my Top 10 Shows Ever list with a bullet!

Next up: Animal Collective in September.

Daft Punk was definitely my favorite at Lollapalooza. It was one giant party :D I think I enjoyed myself more w/ Daft Punk than when I saw Tiesto mix live

I saw John Mayer on August First.

If you're looking for a good concert, go see him.
While you might find his cd's boring, his concert is so incredibly amazing. It was my second time seeing him, and it's definitely not my last!

I also went to warped and saw:
Underoath (second time)
Paramore
Funeral for a Friend
The Matches
and Cute is what we aim for

WHOM were ALL very good live.

As is Anberlin and Jonezetta.

In the future, I plan to see Eisley and The Academy Is...

I'm really jealous of Cute is What We Aim For. After last semester, I visited my sister up in Baltimore to watch HelloGoodbye, Boys Like Girls, and The Rocket Summer. I went back home to Cleveland the next day, and the same bands had a show there. I didn't find out until later that The Rocket Summer couldn't show up, so Cute is What We Aim For filled in for them instead!!! Talk about getting owned.

I went and saw Boyz II Men last Thursday. It was a rather short concert– they played for 50 minutes without any opening acts– but it was really good. I'm a big fan of their 90s stuff, and even some of the less popular, newer stuff. The concert was in a very small venue, so all the seats were close up. The guys looked like they were really having fun up there.

They are coming out with a new album in November that covers a bunch of old Motown hits. Strange to say, but I'm actually excited about a Boyz II Men album coming out. How long has it been since anyone has said that? :)
