I just saw Lifehouse last week, and was unpleasantly surprised at just hw BAD they were.

All time best concert...Breaking Benjamin, Staind, and 3 Doors Down.

Also saw Carbon Leaf, Common Rotation, Good Charlotte, and I think that's all...

I've been to over 300 gigs including:

I wish I'd kept a count, but here are some of the ones I remember. Some are from a long time ago and others fairly recent...

T.Rex
The Clash
Elvis Costello
The Damned
The Pretenders
John Cooper Clarke
Graham Parker
XTC
Aswad
Dirty Pretty Things
Aimee Mann
Bruce Springsteen
Buzzcocks
Victoria Williams
k d lang
The Hold Steady
The View
Ryan Adams
The White Stripes
The Raconteurs
etc.....

In two weeks time I am going to see the legendary Patti Smith

Duff-Man says...I just got back from seeing Devendra Banhart. First of all I guess I should say I not much of a fan but the g/f is...still, I tried to go in with an open mind and just take it for what it was. And what it was was probably the worst experience I have *ever* had at a show (and I've been to a few stinkers). The sound was atrocious - you could not distinguish one instrument from another and could not understand a word he was saying/singing (which in his case was probably a good thing). We moved around the threater a bit and even got next to the p.a. but there was no improvement. I walked by the soundboard and the dipstick was just standing there not doing a thing, not even attempting to make it better. I've heard much better sound in friggin' hockey arenas or stadiums. But anyway, back to this guys music. I suppose if you go for psuedo-modern-hippie crap with insipid meaningless lyrics and predictable chord changes with absolutely no originality sung by someone with a really irritating voice then you might like it, but I could get out of there fast enough.....oh yeah!

Last concert I attended was The Chemical Brothers.

What a great show.

This Wednesday I will somehow get a hold of some tickets to see Justice.

Where'd you see Mushroom?

The last concert I was at was The All-American Rejects + Hellogoodbye + Boyslikegirls in April. Was very very good!

A lot of my favourite artists are playing in Glasgow in the coming months. I plan to see:

David Ford (I love the song "I don't care what you call me")
Funeral for a Friend,
Josh Ritter (if you haven't heard of him - download now!)
and Plain White T's.

Not lately, but that comes to an end on Nov. 3, when I travel to Cincinnati for the CD launch party of The Swarthy Band, a cool indie band from Cincinnati.

Prior to this summer, I had actually never been to a rock show. Well, small ska shows with more people on stage than in the audience excluded, and I didn't stick around for Bad Larry's final show (big crowd, lots of bands, plus one that has since been signed to a label on Island Records).

ANYWAYS! What better way to start than with The Police? Saw them in Hartford.
I saw Underworld just before they went back to Europe. What an amazing show that was. I think Digweed opened for them, and I recall being rather unimpressed.
I saw Megadeth a few weeks ago too.

Just went to the "Dream Theater" concert in Oslo, good times. I´d like to see The Cure in feburary but it seems its sold.. ugh!

Near past
Queensryche
Helmet
Heavyweight Dub Champion
Floater

Near Future
Tre and Phatlip (of Pharcyde)
Lyrics Born
Tori Amos (undecided)
Tool
