Been to any concerts lately?

I haven't been to a concert ( i dont think anyway) since august 19. Modest Mouse. Great concert. I want to see AFI in concert though, i think that would be amazing.
 
Last night: 'MTV2's Spanking New Music Tour' at the Cardiff Student Union.

MGMT, The Futureheads and CSS for fifteen quid - bargain! :D

Me too! It was my first time ever in a festival of such magnitude. Roger Water's performance on Sunday was just amazing.

Of what I saw, the highlights were:

  • Roger Waters (he's in his own level, shouldn't even count in this list)
  • Portishead (close second, should have headlined Friday or Saturday)
  • Fatboy Slim
  • Kraftwerk
  • Gogol Bordello
  • Justice
  • Cafe Tacuba
  • I'm from Barcelona
 
Did anyone else go to Kaboom last night? (KFOX concert at Pier 32 in San Francisco) I saw it from a boat in the water and it was great! The fireworks show was so awesome. I always thought the ended the show with the 1812 overture but this time they ended it with Freebird! Hella (as we say in this area) awesome!
 
I'm off to the Futureheads on the 29th, then I've got Latitude and Reading festivals (possibly more) in the Summer :)
 
I went to see Roger Waters with Brain Damage in Granada on the 9th May - It was AWESOME!! without a doubt the best live performance I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Roger is a great showman and the whole Dark Side of the Moon gig was brilliant.

Yes I got the tee-shirt too :)

Seeing what is basically Pink Floyd for me in the flesh (pardon the pun) - was a dream come true.
 
Saw Paramore at the Glasgow Academy on the 12th o May. I'm off to Latitude in July (hopefully)and to see Enter Shikari at the Potterow in Edinburgh in October. There's a lull in Scotland for gigs, for the festival season.
 
Lots of good shows in San Francisco last week:

M83 at Great American Music Hall (had to pass on M.I.A. on the same night)
Foals at Popscene
Glass Candy & Chromatics at Rickshaw Stop (had to pass on Cluster @ GAMH)
Cluster (in-store at Aquarius)

It rarely gets this good.

I heard Paramore was cutting their concerts short. Were you happy with their performance?

Well the Futureheads were awesome, much better than they were at Reading. They didn't play Alms, but oh well...
 
Someone please tell me that there is another MacRumors member going to Camp Bisco this summer in New York. I can't frickin' wait!

I saw the band "Everybody Else" for the second time last night. They're really talented and great live. Their bill was cut short, so after the show, they played some acoustics outside the bar haha. It was pretty cool that the lead singer remembered who I was from the year before.

saw Death Cab for Cutie last week. wasn't bad, but the weather could've been better. :)

looking forward to Lolla later this summer.
