Went to see The Police at the MEN last night and they were absolutely mind-blowing. I was wary of getting my hopes too high as they are one of my all-time favourites and it could've been heart-breakingly disappointing but they exceeded all expectations.

One of the best gigs I've been to if not the best. Fantastic night.

10/10- no question :)

Just saw Steely Dan Last week......AWESOME:cool:

29th of july = Coldplay New Viva La Vida Tour in Montreal!!

Can't wait for it, it is gonna be awesome!:D

Went to Download Festival 08 last weekend :D

Very good bands :)

I'm not a metalhead, but I liked bands like Madina Lake, The Offspring, Ash, etc. and some smaller bands that were there as well.

Last ones I went:
- Megadeth in Venezuela
- Anthrax + Iron Maiden in San Diego, CA: Best Iron Maiden concert ever! Was like been in the Life After Death concert. And about Anthrax I personally didn't like much the way Anthrax's new singer sings.
- Rock am Ring Festival: Nightwish=very powerful and excellent live show, The Offspring (OK, was kind of better in comparison to the previous time I saw them) and METALLICA, best METALLICA concert ever!

Good thing about METALLICA is that it's very likely that their soon to be released new album will be back to their metal roots, because during their concert they only played their good stuff, nothing from the St. Anger fiasco and most of their songs were from the black album back to Kill m' All era.

My mum saw them then. She enjoyed it and and I saw a guy selling t shirts out side for a fiver so I bought her one. :)

Duff-Man says...I went to see the Dresden Dolls late last month in Albuquerque. The Sunshine Theater is a nice place but suffers from horrendous acoustics and this show was no exception. Luckily, since there are just the two musicians in the Dresden Dolls, it was not as bad as the last show I saw there. The Dolls were okay, kind of interesting for a few songs but I am not really into the whole "campy" thing...if you like that sort of thing they're probably one of the best at it though....oh yeah!

me and the girlfriend went to ladytron recently...boring beyond belief and the FOH mix was the absolute worst i've ever experienced.

i also saw the police on this last tour...truly amazing despite andy being off his game. and stewart reaffirmed his status as a drum-god...ntm, he was obvisouly having more fun than everyone else.

Nice! My last metal show was Obituary a few months ago. I hear Testament is touring with Skolnik back in the band, that should be cool... :)

I would have liked to gone to Mark Knopflers one in Barcelona but I missed it!

I would have also liked to have bought tickets to Jack Johnsons on the 28th of June but I can't be there that day! Damn it!

I saw Queensryche last night at the London O2/Indigo - performing 'Operation Mindcrime'.

Pretty good actually. I quite liked OM back in the day - so it was good to hear it live. I'm not a great Queensryche fan, so I hadn't heard OMII... OMII was much more interesting from a guitar point of view, but no catchy themes (I really like 'Suite Sister Mary' from OMI).

I've never been to the Indigo before - and I'm impressed. Had a front seat in the 'kings row' - big-ass armchair with drink holders and a good/quiet bar open through the whole performance for beer top-ups.

I saw Chimaira 5 days ago. I was gonna stay for Dethklok, but I was so beat from Chimaira I couldn't. I also went to the Summer Slaughter tour 2 days ago. My favorite bands were Born of Osiris and Kataklysm. Aborted and Black Dahlia Murder were very good, too.

My fiance got free tickets to see Martina McBride about a month ago. She had the best live vocal performance I have ever heard.

I'm off to see Radiohead tonight at victoria park!

Lucky bugger... I'm quite jealous :D

I'm going to see John Mayer at the Carling Academy tonight; I hadn't planned to, but my mate's girlfriend pulled out at the last minute - I was in there straight away ;)

Wow, the thread's still alive. I've been to quite a few concerts since my last post:

- Roger Waters: What can I say? *sheds tears of joy

- The Strokes: Small venue, awesome show.

- The Whitest Boy Alive: One of the best shows I've ever seen. I'm starting to think that Erlend Oye was the inspiration for Napoleon Dynamite. His nerdy dance moves are strangely awe inspiring. The keyboard player looks like a 70's porn-star, they're such an awkward, talented bunch.

- Daft Punk: Best. Sound. Ever. *dances like a robot

- Babasonicos: Cool band from Argentina, played for about an hour .

I'm seeing Muse in a few weeks :). I also keep waiting for Radiohead to come to Mexico , they probably never will, and I already missed the Houston show :(

OMFGAH I just saw M'n F'n THIRD EYE BLIND, pardon my language I'm just super excited. haha Fairbanks AK might be 12-13 years behind the concert scene, we take what we can get. In reality the show was decent, outdoors w/ lots of booze, NSYNC coulda been playing for all we cared. Alaska Sucks.

Going to watch Foo Fighters in a few weeks.

WISH I could see Jimmy Eat World & Jack Johnson in concert.
