I have an old 3-in-1 and a new one. The new one stopped working for wife’s phone within last few weeks. I got a warranty replacement, so hopefully new one isn’t impacted as well

All I can say is, sure glad I bought this from Costco! My did this a month ago. No idea this was a widespread issue. Costco returned it with out a question.

And with so many people reporting the same issue….I have to think this might be an iOS issue, not a Belkin issue…just a thought.

That’s a first-party product. Unlike the Logitech keyboard for iPad that updates through the Logitech Control app, Belkin is going to need to do something unprecedented and beg Apple to distribute their update for them. Or release their own app specifically for this update.

Maybe it's an iOS firmware thing that's causing it in the first place though?

After what they did with the WEMO security debacle refusing to update software on smart outlets for a security patch that I had only purchased a couple years prior, I’m not surprised by this. Stop buying Belkin or any of their sub-brands!

Not sure if it's related or not but I purchased the "Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE™ PRO Portable Fast Charger for Apple Watch" in October 2022 and has always worked fine, however over the past couple of weeks it is no longer "fast charging". It's not my watch because it fast charges fine with it's original cable. Been going crazy wondering why

Had the same issue with my 14 PM and the first gen belkin 3 in 1 charger.

This started after one of the iOS updates a few weeks ago.

It would not charge when I put the phone on before bed. Disconnecting and reconnecting the cable helps.

But the next morning when I checked the battery graph, it would show constant disconnections and reconnections (not one continuous charge and optimised charging stopped working).

I have since sold my 14 PM and using a 12 mini and this charger in the home office. And it seems to have stopped.

So does this only affect the 14 series?

Yep. They replaced mine for the exact symptoms as described but the new one still does it - although much less frequently.

Mine stopped working last week. I put a ticket in to Belkin and they said it’s on back order and don’t know when they’ll ship it out. I’m going to cancel that and return it back to Costco for a refund and find an alternative.

My BoostCharge Pro 3 in 1 nightstand charger started having this issue a few weeks ago. I pulled the phone from the charger and noticed it was nearly dead. Charger wasn't charging the phone but charged my watch just fine.

Rebooted the charger and it worked. Has happened several times since. Will pull power and it works for several days or maybe a week and then "fails" again.

It does seem more likely this is being caused by an iOS change on our Apple devices as the odds of so many of these failing simultaneously seems pretty remote.

I have 2 of these. My charger went out for the iPhone but does fix when unplugged. I have done this now three times and seems to last several days. My wife's had it happen 2 days ago for first time. I really hope they fix it. It is annoying to have to unplug several times a week. It doesn't seem to affect my watch or Airpod Pro charging.

My phone is on iOS 17 dev beta, and she is still on iOS 16, so doesn't seem to be from beta software

It's funny how most people commenting here completely miss the "coincidence" that it's all happening in the last few weeks and shamelessly blame Belkin without any proof. This is most likely* an iOS issue or at least caused by some discrepancy between the versions of iOS available when this charger was developed and now. Might be that Apple changed magsafe communications or power nogotiation procedure and under certain circumstances they refuse to get reconnected again until restarted (in my case it's the phone that needs to be rebooted).

It's happened twice to my 12 mini a week or so ago with the 2nd gen 3in1 charger (WIZ017vfBK EU model). The magsafe charging animation would show, but in the morning the phone would be almost dead and in the battery chart you can see it just started charging for a while then stopped. I just rebooted the phone each time and it was charging again, hasn't happened ever since and the charger hasn't been unplugged from the wall for a few months now.

(*) Only other explanation for this coincidence would be high outside temperatures since i guess most of the people reporting here are from northern hemisphere, but then again most people using Magsafe devices probably also use AC anyway ;)

I bought two. One for myself and one as a gift. No issues so far. Hope it stays that a way. Glad I saw this in case it does happen.

I don’t own one of those, but this behavior is well known to me with other 3 in 1 chargers I got from Amazon. After random time, maybe days or weeks, charging stops. I put the phone on the magnetic charger, hear the chime, only to find the phone switched off next morning. Cant charge anything unless pulling the plug of the charger. Afterwards everything fine. This is on like 3 or 4 different chargers I got in the past years.

Mine will randomly not charge my phone when it magnetizes on, so I unplug it and plug it back in then it works. However, and this is probably entirely correlational, I have not had a single instance of this since being on the iOS 17 Public Beta.

I don‘t think there is a communication spec for iOS MagSafe
There is indeed a firmware for the MagSafe puck that receives OTA updates (link), but I've never been able to tell if the one on Belkin got updated or not. It's a genuine first-party MagSafe charger so I assume it works exactly as the standalone MagSafe puck from Apple, but I suspect there is something else going on. It's not the first time that there's an issue specifically with Belkin chargers.

We have 2 of these, one with the fast watch charging and the other without, and BOTH have this issue. Successfully got an RMA for a new one yesterday, need to submit another RMA for the other
