I can't believe that Apple does this. I thought Apple would man up and fix the problem like Steve did with Antenna problem. Sad to see Apple has become today.

And The Verge gets special treatment withr exclusive access to Apple's QC facility. But The Verge is unbiased, lol...
I do not think that Apple would "man up" and acknowledge an issue less than 2 weeks after a phone is released. It took them a good while to acknowledge the antenna problems.I can't believe that Apple does this. I thought Apple would man up and fix the problem like Steve did with Antenna problem. Gizmodo was invited back just this month.
Antenna gate happened to every phone when you are using the phone normally.
bending the phone mostly happens when you try and bend it and very rarely happens in normal use so NO, its not a problem, its a perceived problem which you have become blinded in thinking its a major problem.
There needs to be more thought put into statements before making a comparison like this.

Steve didn't "man up" and fix anything. He gave out rubber band type cases that fit around the phone so the user's fingers didn't interact with the antenna issues.
Next, he comes out with a new phone called the iPhone 4S with the antenna issues all gone. That left the people with the iPhone 4 with the same defective phone.
Actually, the problem is the fear that it sends out to all the other publications and sites out there. Obviously they jumped on a trend, but are they NOT supposed to? There aren't supposed to be rules for how to report this sort of news but because of Apple's decision then they just established one.
Testing out a theory isn't unethical, it's modern journalism. These guys may have earned their spot on Apple's S-list but, despite PadMini crying in a corner (again) and muttering <sob> "lawsuit" and <waah> "fraud", these guys didn't actually do anything "wrong".
Apple must be really feeling proud of themselves now! Whether bendgate is a real issue or not....it is not classy of Apple to go around banning media houses. Just shows Apple's arrogance to be honest....
God...can't wait for a game changer to come from a company OTHER than Apple...Will be nice to have some humility at 1, Infinite Loop, California!

If Apple shunned this German site due to this video, they've succumbed to the Streisand Effect. It would have been better to ignore it. It's pretty clear to me that the new iPhones are not as structurally rigid as the previous model iPhone or some other phones currently on the market. The weakest area appears to be near the volume buttons. Whether all of these bend tests actually translate to real-world usage remains to be seen. It's still way too early to know.
I replaced an iPhone 4S with the iPhone 6. My 4S looks new even after 3 years of use, being carried in my front pocket. I could easily sell it, but I'm going to keep it as a back-up phone. I hope the iPhone 6 holds up as well. I like the new phone, but the questions about its structural rigidity have me concerned. I'm not going to buy a belt holster, wrap it in bubble wrap or buy a bullet-proof case just to avoid putting expected pressure on the phone.
Yep no wonder my 6+ is back ordered till mid November. I don't mind the wait. This and I'm pretty sure, the phones coming off the assembly line in the next weeks will have a stronger reinforcement where the buttons are.

That's because "Antennagate" was a real issue. This isn't. This is trumped up nonsense. Apple did the right thing. It's time to send a message to these idiots and stop the intentional bending madness.
Fraud? Misinformation? Slander?
Hahah you guys are hilarious.
Those things are a prosecutable offense. Since none of that actually applies Apple did the next best thing an enforced the fine print on their t&e agreement.
Face it if this German media outlet did something wrong they'd be in court and the information would be pulled from the Internet. Apple takes people to court at every available opportunity. That would be better PR than this for sure plus it would give them (Apple) control of the information.

And btw there is nothing wrong with intentionally bending a phone. That's how durability test work. They need to be tested until failure.
It's up to the consumer to decide if that test is relevant to them or not.
Right. Because a media outlet has to break the law to have their credentials pulled.
Wrong.
