What is the best graphic option for the macbook pro?

Gforce, ATI or a discrete chip from sandy bridge?
Do you think that for this series the 13'' macbook gets an anti-glare display?

best

edit: btw. hi there! :) ph0o from austria!

Amazing, I'm actually really surprised, I didn't think Apple would jump in the Core i3 (2nd Gen) bandwagon :p.. As we all know Apple is usually slow to jump to new technologies.. So this is awesome news :]

WOAH WOAH WOAH

IS THAT A FRIGGIN i3 IN A MACBOOK PRO 13"?!?!?!?!?!?!? I CALL SHENANAGINS

NVIDIA 525M for the 15" and 17" has the same TDP as the 330M and likely a 520M for the 13" if they decide to use discrete graphics or they'll use Intel's HD Graphics(which is slightly weaker than the current 320M).
Can't be as specific for AMD since they haven't released that much information about their upcoming 6XXX GPU's but a 66XX or 67XX mobility chip is likely.

Interesting. Though aside from Intel Sandy Bridge chipset flaw, there's nothing interesting about the prospects for the next 15" and 17" MacBook Pro refresh. It'll have Sandy Bridge and a discrete video card that is either better than the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M or IS the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M. I'd bet all of the money I have saved up for one were it not for the fact that it's a bet anyone would be foolish to challenge me on. Ho hum. Frankly, I'm more intrigued by what Apple will do with the 13" MacBook Pro, whether or not it retains the title of "MacBook Pro". Though I'm just as sick of discussions of it.

Apple buys in bulk, the price the receive an SSD at is much lower than what a consumer can buy for individually.

Ok but still. How much does it cost to make a 512 GB SSD? If a 500GB HDD cost 100 bucks it cost WD whatever % of that to make it and then Apple buys in bulk.

Theres still a huge difference between what a 512 GB SSD would cost Apple vs a 500 GB HDD

Assuming the 2011 mbps have sandy bridge. would the 15 and the 17inch still have the gt 330m or would those get upgraded to?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

Can't wait.

The difference is fairly big but it's not like this is the first time Apple has used flash storage in their machines. Whoever they buy from they buy at a majorly discounted price. You can't be comparing individual retail prices.

525M would be suited for the 15" and 17" or the similar TDP AMD 6XXX mobility chip.

Quad cores?
Start waiting for Ivy Bridge, when the first 35W quad cores will be available.

And they sell BTO for what the consumer would pay retail. You're living in a dream if you think SSD's are going to be baseline or cheap to upgrade to.

Anyone wanna guess at what GFX these will carry now?

With all the news about Intel/Nvidia I'm a bit lost as what is most likely.

MacBook Air -
256GB SSD starting at 1599
128 GB SSD starting at 1199

I'm not living in a dream. ;)

I would like to see a Quad, but if it's coming that early I have a feeling it's not going to be one. If it's not a Quad, then I won't be coming close to buying it. I'll stick with a Macbook White that my friend gave me till then & My Mac Pro.

Core i7-2620M(2.70GHz) - 15" + 17"
Core i5-2540M(2.60GHz) - 15" + 17"
Core i5-2520M(2.50GHz) - 15"
Core i5-2410M(2.30GHz) - 13" + 15"?
Core i3-2310M(2.10GHz) - 13"

What's interesting is that not one of those are outside of the "Mainstream" range of the Sandy Bridge processors. I really don't want to have to pay $2100 either just to get a 15" laptop with a medium-end processor. Especially considering that Quad Core Sandy Bridge 15" laptops can be had for $900.

Isn't an i3 2,1ghz slower than a c2d 2,4ghz? And if apple keeps c2d in the 13" macbooks but upgrades them, the lower end will probably have a 2,6ghz c2d, which i'm pretty sure is beter than a 2,1ghz i3. Cmon , we're already (probably) getting a GPU downgrade, we don't need a cpu downgrade too! Unless if you include a 128gb ssd which will make me happy :D

Possibilities:
13" - 520M/AMD 6XXX/Intel HD Graphics
15" - 525M/AMD 6XXX
17" - 525M/AMD 6XXX

/QUOTE]

Apple didn't but SSD's for the Air. They used flash memory soldered onto the logic board which ment it is not upgradeable. Not really acceptable for a "pro" machine.
